Just because Sony wasn't interested in moving forward immediately with Heavenly Sword 2 doesn't mean developer Ninja Theory has fallen off the map. At its GamesCom 2009 press conference, Namco Bandai revealed it would be publishing Ninja Theory's next game on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
There's no release date, no title, no other details about the game, only that Ninja Theory is working alongside Namco Bandai on…something.
Well, that's a start.

Maybe not the best game ever but I thought it was entertaining and enjoyable. I would say the best thing about it was the graphical presentation. Even my girlfriend liked to watch when I played that game. I'm not so sure I'd like to see a direct sequel to the game but another game from that studio would be nice if they applied the lessons they (hopefully) learned from HS.

It's been a long time now. Sony should give Heavenly Sword a go signal. What the heck are they thinking? Did they prioritize Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 instead of Heavenly Sword 2? Although it's a good move to prioritize NGS2, but they should at least give HS2 a go signal by now.

I really liked the first one even if it was only about 5 hours ( I rented it). Even though it was really short though, it felt like a complete story and game. It was well paced and fun to lay. I really liked the stance system and that last big fight was a blast.

The first HS was really short. It was beat in 4 1/2 hrs. The game was ok but will not get the second without a lot of improvements.

I didn't think Heavenly Sword was that great, the game was short, the bosses were typical and the story was just another average video game story. Graphics were good and combat was fun for a while. When this launched there wasn't much else to show off your PS3 with so it was a decent game at the time.

The day they announce a sequel to Heavenly Sword is the day they announce a sequel to Lair.
Heavenly Sword = 2 out of 5.

Heavenly Sword was awesome and did have a great story, great voice acting, and great graphics. Sony will give the green light on the sequel one day soon but there's plenty of PS3 exclusive new IPs and sequels in development now.

First off I want to say that Heavenly Sword didn't get any credit because it doesn't deserve any. Second, Metal Gear Solid 4 has one of the best stories a game could have.
Almost everything about Heavenly Sword is bad. The combat is dull, the enemies and bosses are lame, and the story is absouletly atroucious. The only redeming qualities about Heavenly Sword are the graphics and the presentation. Everything else rumbles.
I hope Ninja Theory learns from their mistakes with Heavenly Sword and puts out a good game.

I agree Heavenly Sword was a well done game and didn't get the credit it deserved.Heavenly Sword had one of the best stories a game could have.

Heavenly Sword was a well done amazing game and i would really like a sequel. As long as their new game looks as good and plays as well as heavenly sword did i would give it a shot.
