If you've been yearning for a new BioWare RPG, pretty soon you might be overwhelmed with possibilities, as BioWare revealed at Electronic Arts' GamesCom press conference that Mass Effect 2 will be releasing "just a few months" after Dragon Age: Origins drops in early November. It's a slightly more specific release date than "early 2010," as EA has been previously telling everyone.
GamesCom also set the stage for a new character reveal: Grunt, described as a "blood-hungry" Krogan who has "never faced true defeat" and could prove a valuable asset for Commander Shepard, but only if he can be "tamed." Discovering who you can trust seems a central theme this time.
BioWare promises more character reveals leading up to the release of Mass Effect 2.

That dude's nuts. Sort of makes one wonder if Wrex might have crossed paths with Grunt before and if so (provided you decide if Wrex lives after ME1) would there be any type of friction between the two Krogans.

I can't wait for Mass Effect 2 and Star Wars: The Old Republic. Both are on top of my gaming radar right now. They are two must haves for me.

I can't wait for Mass Effect 2, but I think this whole crap about getting extra ME2 content for preordering and buying Dragon Age: Origins is total bullsh-t and it makes me think of Bioware as a greedy company, it's really dissapointing. Why not make that stuff available for buying a limited additon of ME2 and not some completely different game that people may not want.

Cannot wait for this game.
I'm actually kind of glad it's in the early 2010 time area. There are way too many good games coming out for the Holiday season. This gives me a chance to give Halo 3: ODST, Borderlands, and MW2 my attention before Mass Effect 2 comes out.
