At its GamesCom 2009 press conference moments ago, Electronic Arts announced that Dante's Inferno will be released on February 9, 2010. The PlayStation 3, Xbox and PC game adapts Dante Alighieri's epic-poem The Divine Comedy into an ass-kicking action game, although, it leaves out the endless chapters about how awesome heaven is and how boring purgatory is.
In Dante's Inferno, players assume the role of Dante as he travels through nine circles of Hell -- limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud and treachery -- to reclaim the soul of his beloved Beatrice. According to EA, Dante's Inferno features a "fully customizable combat system with holy and unholy choices, innovative level design, imaginative puzzles, and best-in-class boss battles, all running at 60 frames per second."
What do you think about Dante's Inferno? Are you looking forward to it, or are you thinking that if you wanted to play God of War, you'd play God of War?

Why are people comparing Dante's Inferno with God of War. They are two completely separate stories. If it is on the type of game play then every FPS is the same.

LOL...You PS3 fanboys are downright fall off the chair funny! Xbot's....LMAO!!!! Well I have a 360 and a PS3 and a Wii and to be honest all the PS3 and the tee hee Wii does is collect dust. Sony has God of War and I love that game It's probably going to be the only PS3 game I buy next year. If It came out on 360 I wouldnt be getn It on PS3. Dante's Inferno my be a GOW clone but It will help season up my 360 next year along with Mass Effect 2....Oh yeah your not getn that on your PS3 lol. have fun with your tired azz Final Fantasy, but oh yeah were getn that on 360 too! You guy's just can't win....

How about this for a novel concept: they BOTH look sick and I plan on playing BOTH. Nothing can top God of War, but Dante's also looks freaking awesome.

I have a feeling this game isn't even gonna come close to GOW III, GOW III looks absolutely amazing getting a console upgrade from a PS2 to a PS3

God of War is the King but if Dante's Inferno is good enough then I'll buy that two because PS3 owners can play both. Just like the Xbots tried to say Prototype(multi plat) would be better than inFAMOU(PS3 exclusive), the Xbots will say Dante's Inferno will be better than GOW 3 because they can't play GOW 3. We all know who won the Prototype vs. inFAMOUS debate and we all know that God of War can't be touch by cheap imitations. Sorry Xbots. It's bad when you guys have to compare multi plats to our exclusives.
