Bethesda's iPhone Game "Getting Closer"

Bethesda's iPhone Game In case you were wondering how Fallout 3 developer Bethesda’s mysterious iPhone game is coming along, the answer is it’s “getting closer,” Kotaku reports.

In a recent interview, Bethesda’s Todd Howard said that the mobile game was put on hold around the time Rage developer id Software was purchased by Bethesda’s parent company ZeniMax. Apparently, id head John Carmack now holds some sway over Bethesda’s game, given that he’s working on several iPhone games at the moment, and there seems to be some maneuvering that needs to be done before Bethesda can begin work proper on its own iPhone title.

As for what the game might be, Howard didn’t say.  Although, he did say that Bethesda “really likes” its Fallout and Elder Scrolls games, so make of that what you will.

What Bethesda franchise would you most like to see on the iPhone?
