I honestly didn’t think anyone would be able to top Valve’s Orange Box in terms of value, but somehow, someone has….Valve!
From now until Sunday, you’ll be able to pick up every Half-Life-related game Valve has every released for ridiculously low prices. Check this out:
Half-Life - $3.39
Half-Life: Source - $3.39
Half-Life: Blue Shift - $1.69
Half-Life: Opposing Forces - $1.69
Half-Life 2 - $6.79
Half-Life 2: Episode One - $3.39
Half-Life 2: Episode 2 - $5.09
Half-Life 2: Deathmatch - $1.69
Half-Life 2: Lost Coast - $3.39
If you somehow missed any of these titles, buy them immediately. You will nay be disappointed. The Half-Life Complete Pack (which includes everything listed above, plus Team Fortress Classic, minus HL: Source and HL: Lost Coast) will run you $16.99. You can also get the Valve Complete pack, which includes every game Valve has ever made, for $89.99.
Anyone planning on taking Valve up on these outrageous deals?

I'll have to agree with what others have said. If you haven't played HL2 or HL1, now is the time to get these games. HL2 is still my favorite FPS out there.

I personally love Halo, Gears of War, Call of Duty, AND Half Life + a lot of ther high quality games. Just because I think one of great, doesn't mean another has to suck. They're all great games and I own them, and have played them, all
Mauler90
to bad I already have all of them :( great deals for anyone who doesn't have them though!

half life 2 started out great. then, after doing the same things over and over, after moving mindlessly from one generic location to the next, and after no real variations in game play i have to say i got bored.
it's not that it wasn't a good game... it's just that i never felt as if i was actually accomplishing anything or moving the story forward

I guess kids that only play fast paced FPS's and get distracted easily wouldn't like the half-life series. For me, I love a game that has a great story and are fun at the same time (I still play Diablo 2 :p). Some people love movies, some people don't. Noones the same. I can't get "sucked in" to a movie like some people can (mostly because of bad acting), but I can be easily sucked into a game with a rich and detailed storyline.

I don't know how you can NOT like the Half-life series. I bet the people who don't like half-life are the ones that think Halo is all mighty =/

UUUUUGHHHHHH!!!! I read this and thought "Wow, what a Deal!!!" So I ran over to steam and Downloaded Half Life: Source. The Probelm is, the game crashes on my Computer Downstairs when I boot it up. It says something about finding "Sound Caches" and it freezes my entire computer.
Then I decided to just download it on my computer upstairs. And it worked great until I got to the part where you need to pick up the Crowbar, because when I did, the crowbar didn't appear on the screen. As my luck would have it, the game knows I am holding weapons, but it wont show any of the weapons models on my screen. So I am killing bad guys with an imaginary pistol. THIS STINKS!!!!!!!!!

ive never played the first half life, kinda been waiting for the source mod to come out... also i think id rather just watch the 'freeman's mind' series on machinimas youtube channel. but ya steam has always been good to me.

Man, i should have totally waited to buy that pack, it cost me about 30 bucks for all that when i bought it on steam. And as for what DPsx7 said, i havent had a single problem with steam in the least, no viruses, no infections, and bawbthebuilder, i can understand your point of view with the shelves but dont you think that its cool the fact that if you ever are on a different computer at a different spot for a while or if you got a new computer instead of looking around for all those cd's you just have to install steam on the internet and login and they will all start installing right away? Man i love steams deals! They are always outrageously cheap, which means i dont have to pay 60 bucks at gamestop to pick up these games

As much as I love my PC, and the many games I play on it, for me the kb and mouse will never replace the good old gamepad. A gamepad (do they still call them that anymore?) is made in such a way every game will control (at least) well with it, if not amazing. While I love firing up my PC and playing some Maplestory or Combat Arms when I'm bored (or if my 360's in the pooper), it took me many many days to get the setup for my controls just how I like it, and even then I wished I could plug in a gamepad to my machine (and have it work amazingly). That's my only beef with PC games.
And about Steam, which is an AMAZING service in it's own regards, I cannot stand not having a disc of my game. Call me a purist, but I'd rather show off shelves and shelves of my games to my friends instead of a folder on my computer with a list of my games.......I dunno, it just seems odd to not have a hard copy of my video game I spent cold hard cash on.

I missed out on the sale when everything was .99 cents, I'm not missing it this time.

More reasons why I love steam
I always feel like console gamers are getting ripped off, I mean they have to pay 60 dollars for a game I can buy on the PC for 10 dollars less (probably even less then that because steam offers such great deals), and PC can achieve higher graphics.
