One of the questions that's come up in the wake of my reporting about Halo 2 being the reason Microsoft isn't raising the friends cap on Xbox Live is how many people this would affect. Personally, it's taken me a long time to reach 100 friends on Xbox Live, but I'm only a few away from hitting the cap. And no, I don't have just a bunch of random people on there -- every friend I've met in person.
But several readers have said maybe it's just games writers having this issue. Is that true? I want to know how many friends you have on your Xbox Live list, TheFeed readers.

i mostly just looked this up because i am getting a 360 soon and wanted to see the max number for xbox cuz i have ps3 and the fl max is also 100

I used to have 20 at one point then I purged my list down to 12. I think except for 1 all of them are people I know in RL. I just haven't gotten around to deleting that one other person because he is a friend of a friend.
KEEP HALO 2 ALIVE. Everybody play more Halo 2. Spread the word.

I only have 7 people on my friends list., and I've had my Xbox for two years. Two of them I've met in person, three of them I've only played with once or twice, and the others I simply haven't bothered deleting.
I don't understand how people make friends online. I like to play competitively and I'm constantly paired up with children and crap players, even on the Pro channel. Finding a player in Left 4 Dead that actually knows two craps about the game is about as common as finding gold in my backyard.

I have 100 people on my friends list and I still play with most of them. There are a 52 of us that still play Call of Duty together, and only 3 of us have not been online in 24 hours. I need more slots for friends because when we find someone that is a good person to play with and send them a friend request, they are not getting just the one and they better have the room.

Just 3. First was a guy I teamed up with after getting the Red 360 Elite on Resident Evil 5. The other 2 are guys from work. There was another but after turning on the system to download Mothship Zeta she wasn't there.

I have about 10 friends and only three of them i know in real life and only one of them i meet in a regular basis, the rest are just random people that sent me a friend request.

When I was nearing 80, I went through and deleted atleast 20 people I had not played with or seen or cared for in forever. Almost all on my friends list I've met in person, and having just moved in the middle of high school, I expect this number to raise dramatically.

I have 28 friends on XBL. And in case you didn't guess, no, I'm not having an issue with the friends cap. lol I think letting the Halo 2 players have fun and play their game online is priority over the 100 friends cap on the 360. 100 should be enough.

I don't even use half of the space on my friends list.
I have about 48 friends in total, and 8 of which are friends I know personally.
Another 15 or so friends are people from an online community that play with me frequently, and I get along well with them.
The rest are friends I don't hardly play with because they're playing a game I don't have, but I still converse with them occasionally.
So, if you are complaining about not having enough space on your friends list, I suggest losing the clan, removing those who don't play with and especially those you don't like.
I'm sure you'll have 20-30 free spots in no time. =)

when I was the gamer spotlight I was trying to add ppl so I could talk with everyone... but obviously couldnt go over 100 that made my message box completely full and everytime I would delete something a new thing would pop up... but now I only keep close friends on my list... like 75 of them..
