Compared to what's possible on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, it's easy to knock the graphical potential of the Wii. But Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles producer Masachika Kawata wants to prove the skeptics wrong. At Comic-Con, he told me a currently unrevealed stage in Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles pushes the Wii to places gamers probably didn't think it could go.
"I think it's perfectly possible to create great horror presentation on the Wii. In fact, unfortunately, we're not able to show it off just yet, but very shortly we're hoping to show off a en stage from a new scenario and I think when fans get a look at that they will really be asking themselves, is this really on the Wii? Actually, we went to Nintendo's offices earlier on this month to show them this new stage and they were really, really impressed by it and impressed by what we were able to get out of the Wii."
Hopefully, we'll see this stage at Tokyo Game Show!

To me, one of the most graphically compelling games on the original Xbox was Chronicles of Riddick. Since, the wii's graphics capabilities are often compared to the original Xbox, I'd personally give the wii a thumbs-up on any game they have that looks as good as certain parts of Riddick did. (Same thing with DOOM on the original Xbox.)

Sounds interesting. I just wish that they wouldn't spoil the scenario with the great Wii graphics because in my opinion; it would be nice to see how critics and gamers react to the graphics. Now, how good will the graphics be? I don't know. But I do know that it if it doesn't live up to the hype, I'll be mad. I just wonder what these game graphics could be compared to though.

Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil CVX remade in sexy graphics, and a new story too
And I enjoyed RE Umbrella Chronicles even though it was a rail shooter, this one looks like it will be even better.

A good step towards bettering one of the major down sides of the wii! If they can pull decent graphics out and share their knowledge maybe some day no one will be bashing the system so hard. No time soon am I buying one but maybe all play my roommates wii more often than never.

It is kind of annoying that Capcom is pushing out any other type of RE games besides.. you know.. an actual survival horror game. Action games, multiplayer, rail shooters.. give me a break already Capcom.. stick with what the franchise is know for and stop trying to be cute with how you mainstream this series to death.

RE 4 looked good on the Gamecube, so I don't know why Nintendo is bragging. RE is not House of the Dead. It should've stayed with it's original roots. If I want a different experience, I'd play Silent Hill, House of the Dead, or Luigi's Mansion. .... a former Ninten-bot.

It does seem like Capcom is getting the best of the wii's graphics (Look at Monster Hunter 3)
Sadly I'm not into Rail shooters.
As for dead space extractions, I was kind of happy to learn that you can select a path to choose where your character goes, but I still fealt like the game could have just been a normal FPS/3rd Person shooter.
But in the end I'm not a fan of Rail shooters so if the game is lucky I might rent it.
The only onrail game I'll ever love is Killer 7 (now that would be a cool wii remake)

yeah what's the deal?? Rail shooter?? Why are even making these. RE4 was awesome on the Wii. RE series does not need a rail game. I was exited about this and Dead Space Extraction, until I found out they were stupid rail shooters. Highly unnesecary

Pushing the graphics of the Wii with a rail shooter? Yawn. Sadly, I was actually interested in this game up until the point they crippled it with that genre..

i love resident evil. i hope this one though will be scarier than RE5 and i hope the puzzles are a little harder than 5's to because the puzzles in that weren't difficult at all
