It's frickin' hot in Los Angeles and the temperature has the G4tv.com crew's blood boiling (not really...the air conditioning here is rather effective)! To keep everyone's internal temperature at 98.6 degrees, the gang loads of great games to cool down with. From classic hits on Steam to Saw to Wii Sports Resort, the boys are playing games that will keep them cool as the other side of the pillow. Find out what your favorite writers are playing and let everyone know what's on your playlist this weekend.

Patrick Klepek: The decision to finally convert my MacBook Pro into a mildly capable gaming rig continues to be a phenomenal decision. The addition of Steam to my potential gaming catalog has been invaluable. I'll be taking advantage of my newfound PC-ness by purchasing the phenomenal indie value pack over at Direct2Drive, which bundles games like Zero Clash, Democracy 2, Defense Grid: The Awakening, Cogs and The Path for less than $20. You can't beat that, which is why I'm buying it right now. You should, too!

Stephen Johnson: Last night I spent an hour or two playing the demo level of Konami’s upcoming Saw game, and shockingly, it’s pretty great. I want more, but the full build of the game isn’t available yet, so I’m consoling myself by playing older survival horror games that I never finished. I’m going to blow the dust off my PlayStation 2 and revisit Fatal Frame. I don’t remember why I didn’t finish this game those many years ago, but this weekend, I’m gonna do it.

Billy Berghammer: Yes, after eating a crow sandwich with my new-found-love for Wii Sports Resort, I’ll be back at it this weekend after playing heaps last weekend while I was on vacation. It’s time to perfect my archery, wake boarding, and flying skills. There’s also the possibility of me returning to Azeroth to get my character to 75. Cause, you know. Silly ex-WoW-girlfriend. You know I still love you deeply.

Jake Gaskill: The past few weeks I’ve been thoroughly hooked on Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 for the Wii (and for the iPhone, which I picked up on sale last week during the Buick Open, and which I’m thoroughly enjoying). And while I hope to dominate a few moretournies this weekend, I just can’t seem to pull myself away from Fallout 3: Point Lookout, which I’ve finally gotten around to playing. I know it’s been out for a while now, but sweet Enola Gay did Bethesda kill it with this DLC. Everything from the atmosphere, to the new enemies (backwater, hick mutants wielding axes haunt my dreams), to the storylines and quest; it’s just a perfect package, and I can’t wait to partake of more of the local flavor and ‘splode me some melons, Sessler style.

Raymond Padilla: X-Play's Matt Keil wrote a scathing review of G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. The review was so interesting, that it made me want to play the game. To borrow a few lines from Matt, I'm not ever sure that I've played a game that "lands in the subterranean caverns usually reserved for the prisoners’ excrement" or has been called "the new gold standard for lazy and uninspired cash-in licensed games". I'm intrigued. Can the game really be that bad? It has Snakeyes and Storm Shadow and a super-hot Baroness! I guess I'll find out this weekend. Yo Joe!!!

saw a demo of marvel ua2 and decided to buy a used copy of marvel ua1 for the 360, for $10. so i played that a bit, and enjoyed it, great game. i played wipeout hd. played a little cop'n'crooks on gta4. played a lot of bf1943. even tried to force myself to finish the first s.t.a.l.k.e.r... no success.
i did try the batman aa demo. batman's limited movement, like not be able to jump when not in combat, bugged me. and countering was too easy. i'll probably still buy it... when i can get it for $20.

That Batman AA demo was surprisingly good. I'll be playing that demo again, COD WAW(new map pack), some Rock Band 2 with my family, and some Killzone 2.

I'll be playing a brand, totally-innovative IP, titled SUMMER READING. Heard it sucks, but I'll give it a go.
But seriously, if I get some time, Killzone 2, campaign and online. Map pack time.
