Finally fully recuperated from the wild week of Comic-Con, Blair Butler reviews this week’s comics (despite a shipping problem on the west coast that prevented her from getting all the new ones), including Hero Comics, The Invincible Iron Man, Jonah Hex, Captain America Reborn, Justice League: City For Justice, and Secret Six. She also manages to squeeze in Greek Street, Doom Patrol, Irredeemable, Hangman and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Whew! Which one made Pick of the Week, you wonder? Tune in and find out…

This Episode isn't showing up on iTunes yet. Any chance to correct this?

Any chance of a "TPB Pick of the Week" being added to your show? I know that in the current recession a lot of people are moving onto trades on titles they had previously picked up and are a lot less adventurous on shelling out on trades to see if it's good. Only doing a single tpb for a pick of trades wouldn't take up much time on the podcast and really would go down well when trade-waiting is becoming more and more prevalant.

Ugh... enough with the Jonah Hex already. I personally am not the least bit interested in a western themed comic, I can't speak for anyone else but maybe that's one reason it's not flying off the shelves. Irredeemable is a cool series with a really compelling story but it always seems to end way too soon and could use a bit more character development in my opinion. Your podcast, despite my complaining is always entertaining and has turned me on to several books I never would have bought otherwise.

You are doing a great job on Fresh Ink. G4 needs to give you your own televised show. Your opinion is perfect for the show. Top it off, you are one sexy hot KING KAMAHA MAHA beauty. I have an opinion too!

David: Well, I'd say it really started getting lame after Red Devil lost his powers. I still enjoy the comic, but that was a retarded decision.

WildfireFox: I've dropped Titans a couple of months ago. It really nosedived since Johns left. DC needs to revisit how they are moving the series.
Keep up the criticism Blair. You're a hell of a lot better than most - you keep a cool head when reviewing and balance good and bad points on every review. I know how you feel with Gay For Justice though. How can James Robinson, creator of Jack Knight and the one of the best runs in comics in the 90's, turn out this crap?
WildfireFox
I'm pretty sure that Titans and Teen Titans are like... the only comics Blair continues to refuse to review.
Shame. Especially with something huge happening in the next issue of TT. It could really make or break if I continue to buy it.

Damn shipping error, now I don't get to see how War of Kings ends. At least the second issue of Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth was good this week because it has Deadpool and the head interacting in a way that only a talkative/psychotic mercenary and his zombified head from an alternate universe can do.

I love Blair and I love Greek Street

Great podcast, as always. I like the way Mr. Straczynski is bringing back older B-super heroes and putting a new spin on them. With that said, any news/reviews on J. Michael's Marvel's "Twelve"? I picked up the first trade and am waiting on the second one.
