To date, Konami has not issued an update for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots to enable trophy support. Personally, I couldn't care less about achievements or trophies, but it matters to a great may others, resulting in endless demands for Konami to address the issue. Destructoid is reporting a recent Kojima Productions podcast includes a hint that trophies could be on the horizon for Snake's last big adventure.
"Just to address one issue that we've been getting a lot of comments about. And this is, of course, about Trophies," said Kojima Productions podcast hot Sean Eyestone. "I just wanna tell everybody out there right now that your voices are being heard and that we're not ignoring you. We hear everything that you are saying. It's just that we can't say anything just yet."
Sounds like trophy support for Metal Gear Solid 4 is being worked on, but at this point, does it matter? Would you replay the game just to have the trophies?

i dont play the games for trophies but hey it does give you some bragging rights at least then you can say you did this and not have to prove it again or argue that you did it with ppl who dont beleve you.

I'd play MGS4 again regardless of trophies. I've played through it 4 times already. One one hand I don't see why trophies would be such a problem. You already get medals at the end of the game, why couldn't those just be the trophies? On the other hand, I don't see what the big deal is. The game is great as it is and I am going to play it again anyways. I wouldn't mind earning trophies, but it's not going to be the deciding factor.

yes i would play this game 3 more times just cuz it would get trophies. trophies are worthwhile when you have an awesome game to get them on.

Well, trophies are fun to get sometimes, it would be ok to play for some trophies. But to me it won't matter. To me his game should have more than trophies, being game of the year 2008 it should be a movie. I really love the metal gear saga, and I really hate to see Snake leave but having a movie from start to finish is defantly something I and many other fans will cherish. Thank you Hideo Kojima for a wonderful story and a wonderful game, cant wait for Metal Gear Solid: Rising, which should be a PS3 exclusive but sharin is caring..lol :P

Well... Metal Gear Solid 4 is one of my favorite games of all time. I still play the game every now and then. if they do patch the game with trophy support, I'll gladly revisit the game and try to get that damn platinum trophy. lol

I play it all the time, but trophies are a nice way of showing you did something awesome in a game and MGS4 can have a lot of those moments for people. With or without trophies MGS 4 is a masterpiece of a game.

I gotta say I wouldn't replay that game ever. It felt like a giant cut-scene, and though the story was great, didn't have enough stunning gameplay features to keep me hooked. I enjoyed MGS1 much more. MGS1 was a great game at the time of its release with many unique features. MGS4 did not.

Of coarse I would. As long as there not all Metal Gear Online trophies I would love to get a platinum on it.

I will continue to play this game several times over because it's a great game. And I have fun playing through it. I personally don't care about the trophies, but if Konami feels it's the right thing to do, then they should do it! :)

I think it's ironic that they add the trophies now and make a big deal out of it when the franchise was a pioneer of the whole concept since the beginning.
I'd have a hard time believing that the badges the MSG series hands out weren t an inspiration for the whole trophies/achievements craze. One badge for beating the game on a certain difficulty setting, one badge for completing the game under a certain time limit, another for killing x enemies or no enemies at all, still another for doing ancillary tasks that you wouldn t do or keep track of otherwise, etc. Doesn t that sound exactly like an achievements or trophies list?
And yes, I will be replaying MSG4 to add to my trophy collection.

I was looking for an excuse to replay one of the best games of all time... It will give me something to do while I'm waiting on metal gear solid rising and that new PSP metal Gear!
