Though it should come as little surprise, Activision intends to capitalize on its existing franchises again in 2010. During a conference call with analysts discussing Activision's second quarter financial results, Activision confirmed 2010 will bring new games for several of its franchises, including Tony Hawk, James Bond and Spider-Man. No game details were provided.
Activision will also be producing games based on DreamWorks' upcoming Shrek 4 and How To Train Your Dragon.
I wonder if the next Tony Hawk will be based on Tony Hawk Ride?

I'd love to see a next gen sequel to Ultimate Spider-Man, bigger environment; all 5 burroughs, subways, helicopters, ferrys to liberty island. Or a game that goes back to Spidey's roots, The Amazing Spider-Man, and keep a comic book style.

Who gives a crap if they're making these games? Why don't they just tell us whether or not they're gonna suck? Then we'll be able to tell if we care. But as for me: Licensed games = suck

Can they just start calling them Tony Hawk 2009, Guitar Hero 2010, Call of Duty 2K9, etc? As much as I hate buying sports games annually, I hate buying shooters and music games annually even more.
Hopefully Activision will someday find a new IP to rape, the current crop is getting stale.

Tony Hawk is lame its getting boring now every time you look around you see a game from him. But after all gamers need some reason to get the new peripheral unless they pop out another one.

Bond is a big MEH lets just hope its not like the last one.
Spiderman is coming out again since they are having Spiderman 4 the movie coming in 2011 and filming starts March 2010 so they need something to boost and keep people aware of Spiderman till the 2011 summer release (I'm guessing)
No surprise they would make these games.

Well i want a tony hawk from Neversoft again. Not that crappy Tony hawk ride but i guess it aint coming since Neversoft last tony hawk was Proving Ground.

well if activision really goes back and looks at web of shadows and takes the control system and the entire gameplay engine and puts it on steriods and then adds a variety of missions and a way to progress the story not just having the mission giver format that they've beat into a hole then we could easily see THE BEST spidey game to date

Another Tony Hawk, even though what they hope will reboot the franchise isn't even out yet? Shock. But despite Acitivison's disturbing willingness to rape its franchises, I'm a James Bond fanboy, so I'm happy. I just hope what they deliver next year is just more than the 007 car game Bizarre is working on.
