Jonathan Blow's indie, artsy puzzle/platformer Braid will soon be available on the PlayStation 3.
A listing appeared yesterday on the German game-rating website USK, which states that Braid will be published by Hothead games and will be playable on the PlayStation 3. No word yet on an exact release date. but Hothead confirmed with IGN that the game was, in fact, planned for the PS3.
Now out on the Xbox 360 and the PC, Braid received rave notices from both gamers and critics for its mixture of classic platforming and its unique, painterly art-style.
I was on the Braid-train since it was released (check out my interview with the game's creator, right here). I love the way one guy with a great idea could create a game that rivals the games from huge studios in terms of originality and wonder. What about you? Did you play this game? What did you think?

I only played it at a friends house and all I thought was AMAZING. This is one great game and can not wait to finally get the chance to purchase it for PS3. All I want to know is when?

I have no great words to lend to this conversation than to say WHAT A GAME! You nailed it about the sense of wonder. The appeal to Braid is moreso than great graphics or gameplay (or even sound design which IS in this case great), but a magical sense of wonder! Take the concept of WTF that bathes every one of your favorite random internet videos and age it a little, and you have the appeal that Braid has.
