2K Sports releases the first teaser for NHL 2K10. Here's what's in line for this year's installment:
- Pick-up-and-play controls
- True-to-life authenticity
- A variety of on- and off-line multiplayer modes
Will it have what takes to make a dent in the NHL 10 dominance of the last couple years?

I think after EA's NHL 2005, their hockey games went down..it wasnt as fun (i mean seriously ordering your team mates to help you out offensively and defensively..that was awesome.)...so I decided to buy NHL 2k6 (Mats Sundin Canada Version) instead and man that game was awesome, NHL 2k7 was pretty good too and I owned the Goalie Mode which I think is there greatest feature in the game... then NHL 2k8 came out and ruined everything for everyone with there crappy stick controls, So I went back to NHL 08 and 09 and it just made the game so much better for everyone..Goalie Controls are good, but its not the same as NHL 2k, but the overall experience is just much more better and much more simplified...and after seeing this video, I think another game wins for Electronic Arts, Hockey is not about Magic Shots..

I personally miss the Arcade-style hockey game NHL Hitz put out by midway(pretty sure it was midway). I still play the 2003 game all the time. If Only they could do Hitz with like a The Bigs sort of feel.

i didn't just watch this to find faults, but i noticed that Ovechkin did his little "the sticks hot" thing on the other side of the net, in real life he did it on the other side. That's just one of things that makes NHL 10 a better game. Also in NHL 10's preview they show the new things that you can do like board play, but in 2K10 they only show you one thing that only one person did, i mean if you get tripped while your playing and have that chance to score like that every time it'll eventually seem to fake. I know 2K Sports are more of a comical version of sports, but a good selling games makes you believe that your right in the middle of the action and seeing the previous versions of NHL 2K Sports they don't have that quality. i have always been an EA Sports person and i most likely will stay with them because of the realism of the gameplay.

Seeing this trailer makes me want to get NHL 10 even more. NHL 10 has dominated the hockey franchise in video games and will continue to. I'm also glad that EA didn't put a douchebag with an ego on their cover this year (Cough: Ovechkin).

i gotta be honest i've never owned a hockey game for my 360, i had nhl 06 on my original xbox and that was pretty fun, we'll see how this pans out though. I've always been a fan of EA because 2K has failed to wow me on several occasions, but hey it's a new game so i'll wait for the reviews :).
