New Halo Wars Historic Battle Map Pack Released

If you’re a dedicated Halo Wars fan, I feel your pain. I really do. In case the rest of you hadn’t heard, all of the leaderboards (single-player, multiplayer, and Trueskill, as well as matchmaking data) were recently reset to launch day status, and it's unlikely that the data will be restored. That’s almost five months worth of stat accumulation. Ouch.

Microsoft's Major Nelson attempted to ease the pain, assuring Xbox 360 owners that this was "human error," a one-time, fluke occurrence, adding:

"On behalf of everyone at Xbox Live, I’d like to apologize for the incident and any frustration Halo Wars players have experienced in having their statistics disappear from the leaderboards. You can rest assured that we’re putting processes in place to prevent this from happening in the future."

On the plus side, at least the Great Leaderboard Wipe-Out of Ought-9 didn’t happen to big kahunas like Halo 3 or Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Actually, my mind just collapsed in fear at the thought of what the reaction would be if that were to somehow happen.

If you ask me, i say Halo should only be a Shooter.

I wasn't a fan of the demo, never tried the full game.

Talkin` about wasting time playin` video games huh?

Wow all the hate from the Sony Defence Force. How is HUMAN ERROR an Xbox Live issue? Oh well, since you guys are obviously busy with home, whomever reads this first, please use in-game chat to inform the others that we Xbots will be busy on the new maps for Modern Warfare and busting caps in The Ballad of Gay Tony to care. So hows the Lost and Damned on PSN going? Tha price cut from the gouging you took on your blueray player any better, especially since they dropped the costs 70%? How is that 1 year warranty, unless its dusty, going?
