New Halo Wars Historic Battle Map Pack Released

If you’re a dedicated Halo Wars fan, I feel your pain. I really do. In case the rest of you hadn’t heard, all of the leaderboards (single-player, multiplayer, and Trueskill, as well as matchmaking data) were recently reset to launch day status, and it's unlikely that the data will be restored. That’s almost five months worth of stat accumulation. Ouch.

Microsoft's Major Nelson attempted to ease the pain, assuring Xbox 360 owners that this was "human error," a one-time, fluke occurrence, adding:

"On behalf of everyone at Xbox Live, I’d like to apologize for the incident and any frustration Halo Wars players have experienced in having their statistics disappear from the leaderboards. You can rest assured that we’re putting processes in place to prevent this from happening in the future."

On the plus side, at least the Great Leaderboard Wipe-Out of Ought-9 didn’t happen to big kahunas like Halo 3 or Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Actually, my mind just collapsed in fear at the thought of what the reaction would be if that were to somehow happen.

if halo wars stats are anything like halo 3 stats i would have lost it. sure it would be nice to have a fresh start but to lose all that data? that would stink.

lol any way the halo war player could do bitter with ther ponts now because thay played the game so thay can fun doing it agen.
Also human who work at Microsoft's screwed up alot. Look at Windows And IE. LOL
Someone must have got Termination or Fired at Microsoft. lol

kinda sad but i don't really see to many of my friends playing this anyways it was popular when it came out but now my friends just say its kind of boring to play

The games better than most people think. It's not the typical Halo 1st person experience. It's an RTS. It's just frustrating to play sometimes. After you build up your army and attack the world for little over half an hour, you lose because of a slip in your strategy and have to start over.

I'm a PS fan (not fanboy) but i'm not gonna say "stupid XBL" cuz wat if that happened to PSN, then every1 wuld b pissed...karma ppl...don't u play Fallout 3?

KingOfOldSkool your dumb because he made a very valid point that it was HUMAN ERROR and not an xbox live problem but yet all the ps3 fanboys are dissing xbox live which shows lack of intelect for the ps3 defense force out there.

Everyone should just stop hating and go back playing your video games on your Xbox OR/AND PS3... as for me i played halo wars a lot and loved it but i dont really care my things got reset :)
