Bethesda Softworks doesn't have a major new game coming out this fall, but the company continues to expand its reach in the publishing business. One of their recent acquisitions, the acrobatically-inclined Wet, now has a release date: September 15.
Anyone looking forward to this one? It's not doing much for me.

It looks interesting enough, I think I may pick it up eventually. Also, what is with all the Betheseda hate? Bugs and repetition? Of course, look how LARGE SCALE the game is. Ever played a MMO? It almost plays out exactly the same, bugs and repetition. But at least Betheseda tries some new things here or there, and Oblivion/Fallout 3 are great examples of that. They wouldn't be so critically acclaimed if they were just garbage.

Anyone catch this bizarrely amusing video for WET with....errr...Serenading corpses? http://wet.bethsoft.com?fbid=X 04QTWwskcR

I think I would like Wet more if the whole games style was the rage mode
The rage mode looks so cool while the rest of the game has this look and feel I'm not too knee on. (but why should you listen to me I liked Madworld and No More Heroe's art style. and maybe I've been using my wii more then my 360, yes I know it's strange thing to hear)

time hasn't been kind to this game and the same goes for certain games that have just been released that had been in development but delayed due to either corporate mergers or being dropped by their publishers.
i quite think its pretty stylish and awesome in the art department but the whole point score system is a bit off putting. its like devil may cry and instead of a letter its just points. i know showing hit points is an rpg element but it just is an eyesore in wet. i saw the demo and i just am probably going to give this a rent due to the art style and eliza dushku.

After seeing the demo @ E3. I was not interested in this game anymore.

When I heard it was Besthesda I wasn't interested in it, because I knew their control systems were horrible. Like for Fallout 3, Oblivion... But when I found out they're just publishing this and didn't produce it, I am now fully interested in this game. O_O

I'll give it a rental. If it is anything like Stranglehold, I'll love it.

The original trailer was awesome. The first in-game video I saw was rubbish which
really dampened my enthusiasm for the title...now that Bethesda is the publisher I look
to see a bug laden crash prone title with repetitive gameplay. Hopefully it doesn't turn out that way but my gut feeling is ...Fail.
FWIW seems more like BloodRayne than Stranglehold.

its great to have another asskicking girl protagonist but not really interested

I always thought this looked a bit like Stranglehold from a few years back.
Looks decent but not on my must buy list.
JayLoser
I love Eliza Dushku, and her voice, so I'll buy it

I have a geat deal of interest in picking this game up but I'll probably pick it up some time after the new year. August onward is going to kill what VERY little of a social life I have.

I don't have time to play this game anytime soon even if I really wanted it.
