I like making little fake computer game versions of myself as much as the next guy, but the problem with all three systems' avatar systems has, thus far, been a lack of support for avatars in games. Guitar Hero 5 is changing that, at least on Xbox.
When the game launches on September 1st, your handsome avatar will be able to take the stage and rock out with its [BLANK] out onstage, next to Guitar Hero favorites Judy Nails, Axel Steel and Lars Umlaut. Not only that, you'll also be able to customize your avatar with special exclusive rock gear.
Hey, Activision, would you kindly extend the same avatar support to the Wii and PlayStation 3?

Guitar hero: World tour used miis on the wii. I think i saw it on a video in Nintendo Channel. I don't think the mii mode played to any songs though.

wow, that is actually pretty awesome! it will make for a much more unique experience than just with the regular characters they have on there.

Rock band = Garbage, all rock band has going for it is it's over priced dlc. $20 for 10 songs, thats $160 for the amount of songs that guitar hero 5 has. Thats less than half the price i would pay for the game. Not to mention the new inovation, 80+ new songs, improved grafixs, new gameplay, band moments, rock heros, the list goes on and on. So far i haven't heard anything news related about rock band beattles. Also people say that the GH franchise is being milked. Well what about rockband 1, rockband 2, rock band unppluged, lego rockband, rock band beattles, and possibly rock band 3. Hmmm looks like the milk is coming form a different cow.

I could have sworn that Miis appeared in either Rock Band or Guitar Hero on the Wii.... ?? I KNOW they were in one of them, where there was a mode you could play with your Mii. At least that's what all the reviews said.
I think it's pretty good, although there appears to be no real lip syncing going on.

Oh that was interesting. I just hope the next rock band will be able to keep up, because right now my music downloads and pretty much all my rock band songs are keeping me hostage, but in a good way, not that Stockholm Syndrome stuff.

this is probably the best use of avatars ive seen yet,
the animations make me laugh because its so funny, yet so cool
i would love to see myself jamming on the guitar in the game i dont know about you guys

I prefer the in-game character creators for games like this. I think the avatars would look weird, and are unrealistic in this type of game.
