My former sidekick, Epic Games design director Cliff Bleszinski, is hosting a Comic-Con 09 panel on what's next in the Gear of War universe. In addition to footage from the upcoming Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection, the session will discuss the upcoming Gears of War movie. In addition to all this awesome Gears content, the panel is extra cool because it's being moderated by X-Play's Adam Sessler! Here's the official description:

i dont play gears no more.cant stand the probelms it has.every update something else gos wrong and causes issus.if the engine was'nt so broke maybe it would work more according.but ever since update 2 its been full of falut.if the engine butterflies on the pc.they need to seriously manage a new desing to for the consols.its not fun for me no more.i know every game has issus and problems but just look at then damn epic engine when it comes to consols and you'll see the what i see.either way im done bitching about itno i will not buy any content download for gears ever!!!

yeah horde is cool. fanboys hated gears 2 and fable2? fable two rocks and gears would be my favorite shooter if they would fix the problems with it.

Is it possible that Gears of War 2 can get another title update that can fix the lag and if it is possible Gears of War 2 could be one of the greatest games of all time

yeah i haft to admit gears 2 does have some problems with lag and host bridging ect. Wich is why most people hate gears 2. But if you can get past all tthe lag and actually get good at the game then it is an awsome game.

i would ignore it if it didnt get all they hype it gets. I mean its cool to say madden isnt what it used to be but we cant say gears isnt? Gears 2 keeps getting all this press when there are enourmous issues with it that no one seems to ask about. Thats what bothers us. On the other hand as long as i'm playing on the side that bridged host the game is AWESOME. lol. what a broken game.

Gears 2 is a pathetic excuse for a video game. A turd in my disc tray would play smoother than Gears 2.

klix333, why would they go back and do Gears 1 DLC? Theyre all about moving forward. Doesnt make sense.
But on the actual panel it seems like it was kinda dry. I remember on the main Gears website they said we would get a exclusive look at the film...all I basically took from that was that they want to make the movie good. No Gears 3 talk not even the faintest of a whimper about it. I didn't expect a huge reveal about it, but I wish we heard something.
I have really high hopes for the series as a game and I am greatly anticipating the film. But with the lack of momentum it doesnt seem like this project will come out soon. But as long as they dont cast aging actors (Rourke, Kilmer, Willis, Travolta) to play a 30 something year old Marcus then I'll be happy when the movie comes out. Purcell for Fenix.
