During the Warner Bros. Comic-Con 09 panel, Gary Oldman served up a juicy tidbit of information regarding the next Batman movie. According to the actor, filming begins in 2010 and the movie will be finished within two years.
I'm sure many of you are super psyched for the next Batman movie. Any villains you want to see in the movie? How about a quick cameo by another hero?

I like the way jtgriff thinks. having the Riddler be a crazy profiler brought in to find batman. Sort of a cat and mouse game

I think if Mr. Freeze was actually evil and froze mass crowds of people to a chilly death... that could be pretty cool.

BANE!!! They can have the Mob hire Bane to kill Batman and do a new take on the "Broken Bat" storyline. Also remember that the cops are once again the enemy of Batman so he will have that to contend with while fighting crime.

In my opinion Johnny Depp would be perfect as the Riddler.

Cmon Riddler, and maybe the can do the whole Mr. Freeze thing again. The older movie had both these guys, but mostly focused on Mr. Freeze. Now-a-days, they can do better.

They need the Riddler. If they did, they should either get Johnny Depp or bring back Jim Carey. Jamie Kennedy came to mind, but I pushed that out. If they had Harley Quinn, she should be played by either Kari Wahlgren or Arleen Sorkin to actually play her, not just voice.

I think they should come up with a new character. The Riddler and Dr. Freeze, or the Penguin just seem way to childish with the way their going with these movies. I think the first 2 movies that Nolan has done has accomplished alot and I would hate to see this franchise take a step in the wrong direction.

No sir, drop the or. It must be Johnny Depp as the Riddler AND Phillip Seymore Hoffman as the Penguin. THAT would make for some interesting cinema. And then to make things even better they could bring Joker back to spike the mix, and...oh, nevermind. I just got sadded again...

Haha you can obviously tell my knowledge of the batman universe the only villians I know were in the animated cartoon, repedatly at that. I never knew there were so many obscure villians.

um did everyone forget about catwoman? Angelina as Catwoman= Win. Also so far there has been two villains in every movie so the third will most likely not change that sooooooo the Riddler.

He has unfinished business with the Joker. Just because "that guy" that played the Joker is dead doesn't mean someone else can't step into the role. Get over it people. If this is the case then they should not make another Batman film because word is Bale himself won't be back for the next film, his co-star that played the terminator in Terminator Salvation is going to be the Next Batman.

I would say The Riddler, preferably played by Jim Parsons(A.K.A. Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory). I think his personality would really fit the part.

(*sigh*) Me and bishop186 were referencing a lesser-known villainous character in the Batman universe (also) called Scarface, not the Al Pachino movie one.
Scarface in the Batman universe is actually a puppet controlled by a schizophrenic puppet master (hence, my Jeff Dunham joke) that believes that his wooden puppet is actually an Al Capone-like mob boss, but is completely unaware that he is controlling him (I think). This would fit in with Nolan's Batman movies since you could take some crazy nut job from the Narrows (from the first film) and say that he got a huge dose of the gas and is now the puppet master/Scarface. Sure, he may not be a main villain, but it would be a nod to fans if they could show a brief clip of him at Arkam.

I think that TKEmysterio had a good idea. I mean there was a batman game "rise of someone (cannot remember)", and after it came out they created the character in the comics. I think that creating a new villian would realy induce new life to the franchise and keep the new feeling in it

I really like the rumor of Depp version of Riddler idea that would be nice. I'm used to Bat rolling solo now I don't think the Boy Wonder should introduced to this series.
