Halo Legends Won't Shed Light On Master Chief's Storyline Beyond Halo 3You probably heard already that Microsoft’s 343 Industries is working a series of anime short-films based on the Halo universe, called Halo Legends. However, if you were under the impression that you’d be learning some profound or shocking details about Master Chief’s storyline in the films, you’re about to be disappointed.

With regards to what fans can expect from Legends, 343 Industries’ creative director Frank O’Connor (and former Bungie big brain), confirmed during the Comic-Con 09 Halo panel, “There’s a few nuggets in [Halo Legends] about Master Chief’s future,” however, “We don’t go much further than the end of Halo 3.”

So I guess Halo-philes will have to hold their breath for some future Halo project to find out the ultimate fate of their favorite space Spartan.

    Just as well, if it's anime style animation I wouldn't watch it anyway...just don't care for the art style

    I can tell you what happens to Master Chief

    They learn money can be made

    So a Halo 4 project is put into production

    Cortana wakes Master Chief from his sleep

    Master Chief says *cough, hey... did you make coffee?*

    The ship they're on safely floats into a docking station.

    Everyone is amazed that it happened but hey, its a game, it's not real.

    Master Chief has to work with the Arbiters to save the world from "Hive"

    Halo Wars wasn't all that bad really, and ODST will turn out to be like Halo 3 with just some newer content. I do believe that part is being milked. Honestly, I haven't read the books but I'm sure I'll get them soon. Thanks for the great book input peeps.

    i like halo but i do think they should just stop at halo 4 and make alot of map packs and DLC's for it,and they sould still continue to do the books since those are really fun to read, that way you have the game to play and have fun with and the books to get the info about the halo world.

    I think that the Halo franchise is just being continually milked. There are way too many games for it, such as spin offs like Halo 3 ODST, Halo Reach, Halo Wars, etc.

    I'm tired of Halo already.

    I recommend reading all of the books because they are fast reads and they tell you a lot about the halo universe and the fate of many of the main characters from the games. I also cannot wait for Halo 4 because of the game play and because they are bound to make more books, Halo universe is going to be around for a LONG time and is shaping up to be the new star wars.

    I've read all 6 books, they were all great, except for The Flood. Recommended read for any fan of the games or of the sci-fi genre in general.

    @OMNI

    Some of the newer books aren't all that bad either, like Contact Harvest
