Sony Plans Phone With PlayStation Integration Later This Year
Not a real product!

Are we one step closer to a PlayStation phone? Sony's mobile division is hoping to leverage part of the still-powerful PlayStation brand later this year, as The Wall Street Journal's reporting (via Engadget) that Sony will be releasing a phone with "PlayStation integration" later this year. It's unclear what the company means by "integration."

Sony has discussed expanding the PlayStation Network and the cross media bar interface across other platforms, which jives with "integration" but may not be the PlayStation-branded phone people have been speculating about for who knows how long.

Engadget speculates this isn't actually news, as the company's upcoming Aino phone was already going to support the Remote Play functionality, ala PSP.
