It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of FIFA, a fact that's especially evident if you're unfortunate enough to follow me on Twitter. Though my frustration didn't quite reach the level of cattiness that we're seeing between Landon Donovan and David Beckham, I do wish that I could've attended EA's recent sports day in Vancouver to play FIFA 10. Instead, Andrew Pfister attended, and got hands-on with EA's latest iteration of footy fever.
Personally, I'm excited by the idea of DIY set-pieces (the sport has boiled down to set-pieces and counter-attacks, if you ask me), although I really want to know more about the practice drills. I'm worse than my beloved San Jose Earthquakes at getting goals out of free kicks, so anything that'll keep me from getting smeared by a 12 year-old Scottish kid online will be an immense help.
If you're a FIFA fan, what are you hoping to see in FIFA 10?

i would like for EA to put more detail in the fans that are in the stands. not a lot just to see people wearing a Real Madrid shirt during a home game would be pretty awesome. just little things that make games a lot killer

I'm also still on '08, but with set pieces DIY, I just may have to get the latest edition. Hopefully there won't be a terribly photoshop picture of Ronaldinho on the cover this time.

I think also the cut scenes like the penalty argues and after defeat argues with the referee are too monotonous.
Wishful thinking, but i wld also like to hear the argues and not the mimes.

But I'm still playing "08"

I want to see the little bugs gone...like player going to the ball and then backing off, even when am obviously trying to get it.....and the also annoying passing to a player and the player just let the ball run out bounds.
There are other little tweaks, but too much to mention right now... Luv 09 and no doubt cant wait for 2010..

From Andrews hands on preview it sounds like this may be the best FIFA to date.

more realiasm...although i know fifa 09 it's still amazing...fifa 2010 im sure it's going to be off the chart...more driblings...more offside accurate, more effect on the ball..like in fifa 2002....a indoor soccer mode like fifa 98 xD

It definitely looks polished and amazingly fun. The DIY have been a long time coming, and the logical next step. While PES was the dominating force, it looks like FIFA is back, and I can't wait to buy this.

Without a doubt this game will rock my socks!
Love FIFA always have, even though PES was a much better game for a few years FIFA has really stepped up its efforts since Euro 2008 delivering a much more realistic and fun depiction of football.
