It should come as no surprise, but Killzone 2 developer Guerrilla Games has told The Gamer Access the studio remains focused on PlayStation 3. Guerrilla Games only managed to produce a single game for the PlayStation 2, but it doesn't look like that will be the case this time around, even though the developer is mum on the future so far.
"PlayStation 3 has a very long life ahead still, and we’re certainly not done developing for this platform," said senior producer Steven ter Hiede. "We still see enough opportunities to get better and pushing the platform even further."
At the moment, Guerrilla Games is producing a generous amount of downloadable content for Killzone 2. Where do you want them to move next? Killzone 3 already? I'd like to see them follow through on an idea posed in the interview: a Killzone game from the perspective of the Helghast. Ooh.

the killzone engine is a beast of an engine, I want to see it used in other types of games like, tps, or platforms. If GG and Sony would license the engine out to say Square to make a new rpg ip, that would be a day first buy for me.

too bad KZ2 is such a basic Decent game that I maxed out in 3 or 4 days. Yes there XP system scale needs more goal levels. Sucks that they are charging $6 for 2 maps($18 for 6 maps) is another joke because now people are NOT sticking to their Region servers and games are getting bad lag from overseas connections.
This game will be dead by November and be finished off once MAG gets released.

@spicypooptastic another Xbox 360 fanboy. Just how long Ps3 life is? 2.5 years and Xbox 360? 3.5 years now and when they started to sell consoles there were no one at the market.
And for chldish fanboys like you, Ps2 began its triumph when it was PS2 slim, and when it was PS2 fat it has the same story with Ps3 fat right now. Please stop chatting about stuff you don't know. Go to wikipedia and search for the info or get out.

I donno why people say PS3 life is going to be longer for the 360. I mean the xbox was leaps and bounds more advanced the the PS2 with better graphics and online yet it still was always outsold the xbox. And if PS3 sales stay stagnant then some developers will stop supporting the PS3 and only the Xbox 360.
It shouldn't come as a surprise anyone that the 360 will outlast the PS3, but it will surprise people since sony has been so dominate in the past. But sony's dominance is over, and they are now the worst selling console.

Well considering KZ1 (as said by fanboys) sucked while KZ2 (as said by fanboys suck compared to halo lol, which I still laugh at) rocked, it's no surprise they would keep making games. I know they're 1st party but still they have a good thing happening.

@Smartguy81 LOL? Sony owns Guerilla company. All Killzone and guerilla games are the only exclusively for the Playstation.

I hope they move away from the FPS genre. I played both of their games so far and found them to be nice ideas, but just didn't play well enough for me. Underwhelming in other words. I know I will get flamed for that comment because fanboys can't tolerate someone not liking their game...but that is how I feel about them.
With the sales of iNfamous, I wonder if they will stay console exclusive though?? Serious question.

I love Killzone 2 I just got it a few days ago and it is freaking AWESOME and the best looking game that I have EVER seen. I can't wait for more DLC.

i would realy like to see them elaborate on the mech suit thats in a killzone 3 level make a game around it especialy after seeing the mechwarrior 4 teaser

I just got a PS3 and have heard a lot about Killzone 2. I'm thinking of getting it if it's as good as a lot of people say it is.

You know, that's reasonable, I could see it. And good news for the most part.
I haven't really gone that far to where they should go, not really. I still play it though, it does rock! But I don't know, I guess the consensus is that they will, right? But I like the way you think Patrick...Ooh, :) Now that would be something.

I like to see the the level get alot higher than kz2. I mean I was able to unlock every thing in 2week with online game. But Playing on the enemy side would be soo freaking kewl!!! KZ2 Helghast defending there planet and me as there leader. Freaking awesome !!! I'm sold on that idea already... I'll buy it!!
