Here's a surprise. Famitsu Weekly (via 1UP) is reporting Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, an upgrade of Ninja Gaiden 2 for the PlayStation 3, is getting a massively cool new game mode: online co-op. The tag-teaming doesn't apply to the game's single-player adventure, but rather, Tecmo's building "team missions" for optional cooperative play.
I wonder if this is a hint at the future of the series. If so, maybe I'd finally finish one of 'em.

I'm glad that they're making something different specifically for the co-op. The single player obviously wasn't designed with co-op in mind so it probably wouldn't have worked so well with two people. Something built with two people in mind will make it more worthwhile.

I should think that the real question would be about the difficulty. Ninja Gaiden was harder than Glenn Quagmire at a Victoria Secret convention.
Will the new co-op be easier since you have a friend watching your back (hopefully), or will Tecmo ramp up the difficulty to accommodate two people? I can't imagine this game getting any harder unless they make Ryu a paraplegic.

I read that they have " tweaked " the camera issue for this.

I doubt that it was the camera issue. It was probably there xbox couldn't handle the game. O.O

That is pretty cool. Loved it on 360 besides the camera. When does this come out ? I don't know if I would spend 60 bucks just to play the co-op mode but I'll rent it for sure and try it out.
