Resident Evil 4 briefly appeared on the Japanese iTunes application store before being taken down, but the slip up has forced Capcom to come clean on Twitter. Resident Evil 4 -- a version of it, at least -- is coming to the iPhone at the end of the month. The iPhone version will be released in Japan first, with worldwide rollout "shortly thereafter."
The leaked video showed a fully-featured 3D action adventure, but after playing the surprisingly good Doom Resurrection, am I the only Resident Evil fan who wouldn't mind seeing the on-rails games that Capcom's tailored for the Wii make an iPhone appearance?

Cool. :) I just got the EnV Touch from Verizon, and it came with a demo of RE: Regeneration. It would be nice to see this becoming a potential app. outside of the iPhone.

Yeah they need to stop making ports of really freaking good games, ones that own lives on consoles. Look at that noob trying to control that. Sigh and there is no head exploding action that makes me jump like a autistic kid. Make something new and sweet. Hmmm like Jelly car, hero of Sparta, Flight Control to name a few.

That looks nearly impossible to control. If they put this on the PSP Go I'd get it. I would need buttons to play this game.
