Do you want to know how massive the script for BioWare's MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic is? You're probably saying, "But of course," but that's because you don't really understand the kind of scale were talking about here. I'd say, "Take a guess at how many times larger the Old Republic's script is compared to the one for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic," but you'd either come up laughably short, or overshoot it for humor's sake. So I'll just go ahead and tell you now, but just be sure to give your brain enough time to process what I'm about to tell you.
The Old Republic's creative director and lead designer James Ohlen recently posted on the game's official developer blog that Old Republic features 10, count 'em 10, times as many lines of dialogue as KotOR. (Sweet Calrissian's stache!) As Ohlen points out, that's basically 10 KotORs recorded back to back. A rough estimate puts the line count in the hundreds of thousands, or "approximately 40+ novels worth of content." Ohlen says that by the time the game is completed, the audio team over at LucasArts in charge of recording dialogue will have spent over 4,000 hours in voice-over sessions.
Who would have thought that creating the first fully voiced MMORPG ever would require so much work? Oh, I know, everyone, because it's an absolutely nutty idea. However, if there's a developer capable of pulling off the crazy, it's most certainly BioWare.

Still not interested as long as it is a MMO. No matter how much crap they squeeze into the bag, it won't change the fact that it is still a bag of crap.

SWTOR is sounding better and better every week

Uh...Duh, it's an MMO! It has to have a wealth of content. It is great that they have actual voices though, that definitely gives it an edge against the competition.
