PopCap Games Bringing Plants Vs. Zombies To Other Platforms

PopCap Games' terribly addictive Plants vs. Zombies looks like it'll be heading to other platforms. The game, which is currently available for PC and Mac, is an ideal candidate for iPhone, PlayStation Network, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DSiWare and Xbox Live Arcade. In a recent interview with Kombo, senior director of PR Garth Chouteau said:

"Peggle for XBLA is a good example of a game that we took that was popular on the PC and we spent probably twice as long as anyone else would have figuring how to make that game really good for Xbox and Xbox Live Arcade, and I think you will see that with Plants Vs. Zombies. It's certainly been successful enough, quickly enough, that we're looking at other platforms and deciding where we'll take that game next.

I don't think you'll see Plants vs. Zombies on a mobile phone. I think you may see it on the iPhone. Some of our games, we would just say, 'You know? We could probably sell a million of these, but people aren't going to be happy with it.'"

Loads of people on the G4tv.com team are Peggle addicts, while some have advanced to more advanced drugs games like Plants vs. Zombies. It's a wonderful diversion, but I'm a little scared of having access to it on multiple platforms. That could seriously kill my productivity.

Any of you addicted to Plants vs. Zombies? If so, what platforms would you like to see the game for?
