Command & Conquer 4 Announced Via Twitter?

Command & Conquer 4 Announced Via Twitter? While it's certainly far from earth-shattering news, I'll bet there are more than a few gamers out there who will be pleased to know that Command & Conquer 4 is apparently currently in development; shocking as that might be.

However, as Joystiq reports, a pre-press release Tweet sent out by EA seemingly confirms that Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 developer EA Los Angeles is working on the new title.

You might remember that a few weeks ago a survey popped up online asking players what they would want out of a new C&C game. So again, this latest news is hardly unexpected. The bigger question here is why the info appeared via Twitter before an official press release was issued. I contacted EA to find out what might have happened, so I'll let you know when I find out more.

someone say it won't be like Red Alert 3, and more like C&C3: Tiberium Wars. Gotta say, I didn't warm too much to Red Alert 3...

I wish that EA's marketing research team would have asked me what I wanted in the next Command & Conquer game. My answer, much like everyone else's should be, is more cheesy live acting by "C" list celebrities.

This groan-inducing, face-palming acting style seemed to fade out in the late 90’s, but I love C&C for remembering where (and when) they came from. We need more games to bring back these live action cut scenes.
