Welcome to "Morning Hangover" -- an excellent way to start your day with the crew at TheFeed...no matter what you're recovering from. Every morning you'll hear musings from two of TheFeed's editors and have the chance to share your thoughts on what's going on in the gaming world. So buckle up, brew some excellent coffee, and keep reading!

Raymond Padilla: As a fan for Fight Night Round 4, I was alarmed and disappointed to learn that EA will be "enhancing" the game with a face-button control-scheme in September. I like the current, analog-stick controls. They work just fine. It's not my problem if some gamer sucks at using the analog stick for punching...at least, it better not be my problem when I'm playing online. Worst-case scenario -- I should be able to filter out (sucky) players that use the face buttons. There's no doubt that they have an advantage using a simpler and faster input method. In a perfect world, players that use the face buttons should be banned from online play for being lame. I understand that adding face-button input makes the game more accessible to a broader audience, but it also adds the potential to wreck online play. I spoke to an EA rep yesterday and while there is no official word on the issue at this time, the company seems aware of the problems that will arise with the September DLC. Let's see what actions it will take.

Patrick Klepek: Last night, I was forced to play Fight Night Round 4. I can't talk about why -- yet -- but needless to say, I'm not particularly looking forward to it. Sports games are really not my thing. The last time I played a boxing game was Ready 2 Rumble Boxing. Man, that was a good game. How'd that franchise die so quickly? In any case, my impression of the Fight Night series has always been that it's a really pretty showcase for game consoles but beyond that, it's a requirement to actually understand and care about the sport of boxing. I, er, don't. As I'm writing this before I play it, predict: will I be converted?
TheFeed gang wants your thoughts on gaming, tech, the odds of LeBron James staying in Cleveland past 2010, and more. Let everyone know what you're thinking and chat it up with your fellow readers. Leave comments on anything and everything that's on your (gaming/tech/nerd) mind! The reader with the best comment will get one of the toys I'm about to steal off of Brian Leahy's desk.

You can nitpick the game all you want, all i know is that it's a big improvement over the previous Fight Night. And that sir, is a job well done.

I have to agree with you Patrick. I have never played the game before, but I heard it is addicting. So I am predicting yes, you get hooked.
