Cheats and Walkthroughs

Nintendo fans have begged the company to bring back the Kid Icarus franchise for years. Shigeru Miyamoto has acknowledged the game's hardcore following, but despite rumors of aborted attempts to reboot Kid Icarus, we've never seen Nintendo publicly acknowledge a new game was in development. Miyamoto's latest comments, published by Nintendo Power and discovered by Go Nintendo, indicate it's still trying.
Nintendo Power: And, of course, I have to ask: have you given any thought to putting a new Kid Icarus game on Wii or DS?Miyamoto: Wait, please. I'm really surprised how popular that is. But you are the first person to ask at this E3!
I tried Kid Icarus years ago, but couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about; the only thing I gleamed from my hour or so struggling with the game was it's really, really hard.

Love this original game. There's a good chance of a new one, I think. If you go to kidicarus.com there's a site in construction; portraying it may be what we're waiting for :P

You kids are so funny. LOL
Back in the day when I bought the NES with the Power Pad you could not find Kid Ic in the Chicago area. I bought mine brand new while vacationing in Toronto.
Anyway, yeah it was hard but funn to. You have to remember that it came at a time when gaming was about flashing blocks. With KI, Metroid, SMB, Blaster Master we had finally gotten some decent graphics. I'm sure it's more nastolgia (SP), but it was a fun game too.
Ninja Gaiden,...you had to be hardcore to finish that game.

Apples and Oranges, people.
Kid Icarus was like Metroid, except you go up instead of down. To get some sense of where Nintendo may go with a new Kid Icarus, look to either Metroid Prime 3 or New Super Mario Bros. Those are the two possible outcomes.

Well, did you play the game when it was released in 87 or did you play it years after it had been out?
the game was alot of fun and while im sure if i went back to play it, it wouldnt be as much fun to play, I would really like to see a sequel to the game, or a reboot as i have really great memories of fighting the eggplant wizards.

That was pretty much my reaction to the original Ninja Gaiden. I got it on Wiiware and ended up regretting spending money on it. It just isn't that great, despite the hype. Let's hope the new Kid Icarus can improve on the original like the new Ninja Gaiden games have improve on the less-than-spectacular NES title.

What else are we supposed to do other than wait?
