Until Nintendo officially announces the long rumored Nintendo Wii HD, current Wii owners (myself included) are just going to have to continue to enjoy the console’s 480p Standard Definition graphics. That is, of course, unless you can get your hands on the handy, dandy Wii emulator, Dolphin, which is capable of producing 720p HD video.
And just so you don’t accuse me of pulling your Luigi, check out this video of the emulator running Nintendo’s Super Mario Galaxy. Let the ooh-ing and ahh-ing commence.
And if you somehow have a little bit of drool left, you'll be please to know that a NeoGaf forum member has posted a handful of gorgeous screenshots that will have you disapprovingly shaking your head at your Wii for not being capable of producing the kinds of visuals on display in these pics. Here's one to get things started:

the thing that looks good would be the texture filtering and anti aliasing. but that rig in the vid wasn't the best mine however has 6gb of ram and 4 physical cores and a 9600gt unlike his 2gb of ram, 2 cores and 7600gt

You do realize that 4D geometry is nothing new, look up 4D cube or objects. Also when Nintendo talks about it at the start of E3 I expect some kind of innovation.

The Wii is perfectly fine. HD is extremely overrated and if you don't think the Wii looks good enough then you need to buy a new SD set. Or at least get off the hype train making people buy crappy 'HD everything'. After all everything looks perfect on SD and most things in HD are all blurry and stretched. What a waste of thousands of dollars...

those pics look amazing also Amazed by all the wii bashing usually thats reserved for xbox360 or ps3. I guess im the only wii fan out there that owns all 3 systems.

Normally I dislike Mario Games but Galaxy was actually fun (also paper mario)
I just remembered how Nintendo let me down by mentioning a 4D mario game at E3, but then they announced New Super Mario Bros Wii.

Oh, hooray. High definition gameplay (which I don't particularly care about) for a game on the Wii that I never cared for.
And here I thought the Wii was supposed to be about innovation, not better graphics like the other two companies.
