Who can Michael Thorton trust?

Personally, I don't know yet since Alpha Protocol won't be released until October, 2009 but until then, we can watch the developers from Obsidian Entertainment talk about how they created an authentic real-world RPG full of espionage and action.

Check out the Alpha Protocol Developer Diary below.

I still dont understand the point of the timer you have to make dialogue choices, it just seems tacked on a useless. Especially, considering they are placing so much emphasis on how choices will play out and be permanent, wouldnt a player want more time to think how they should respond to a certain character?

I just hope it's a good game. Ever since I started following Alpha Protocol, movement and fighting have always looked kind of stiff. Better not let me down.

This looks like a more amateurish Mass Effect knock off in terms of how the story is been moved forward. They are talking like it's something new that they created but it's just a copy of Bioware's dialog system. And Alpha protocol doesn't look and move as good as Mass Effect....it looked kind of twitchy to me(Alpha Protocol). I think this game will be alright but i don't think obsidian should be bragging like they are a revolutionary RPG studio. That honor goes to Bioware...and then Bethesda.

Hey Lawrence360x yea I thought fallout 3 sucked, I mean the graphics were crappy and the characters walked around like robots and told me storys that I didn't care about. And the action parts sucked, I didn't feel like there was a goal just walking around. I prefer RPG's like GTA4 were there is good action and freedom, but instead of crappy written dialog there were convincing cutscenes.

But for RPG's mass effect 2 looks good, and this looks good just as long as I don't spend hours wondering around doing stupid tasks for some stupid character only to benefit by reading some stupid story.

    These are good games:
    GTA 4
    Ninja Gaiden 2
    Jon Woo's stranglehold
    Wolverine
    Call of Duty 4
    gears of war 1 & 2
Red Faction and some others probably

Hey spicypooptastic , so does that mean Fallout 3 was a ''Real Pansy Game'' ? and if so I would like to know why you think so and if you liked Fallout 3 and like Bethesda , do you really think they would let a bull crap developer develop there best franchise . Bethesda is letting Obsidian Entertainment make there new Fallout game named Fallout: New Vegas . But more impotently I really think Alpha Protocol looks like it's going to be a very interesting game , fingers crossed I have been duped before .

Man it looks cool to bad its an RPG which I am sure means Real Pansy Game. I might still get this as long as I don't need to spend ours talking to random boring people.
