No More Heroes Likely Expanding Beyond Wii

No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle will most likely be the last No More Heroes game exclusively for Wii owners, according to an Edge interview with creator Suda 51. In order for the series to become the big franchise Suda 51 desires, it needs to expand.

“I think this is the last NMH [No More Heroes] that is going to be developed on Wii,” said Suda 51. “To expand NMH to new possibilities, we need a new platform. Wii is a great platform, but we’ve done everything we can with it now.”

I still haven't gotten around to playing No More Heroes. Friends have told me it's a tough game to go back to, but at the time, it worked. What say you, TheFeed readers?

Don't get me wrong I love games with better graphics but I still went NMH exclusive for Wii. I believe one of the reason why gaming companies went to go to Multiplatform is because they didn't really get a lot revenue on there games and so they end up making games Multi because of the Money. That's just my though on gaming industry. It only sold 400,000 copies world wide.

    Go here and sales segment:

People bashed the Wii for not having enough games for hardcore players. Now, NMH is leaving. This is lame.

NMH is my favorite game of all time and it's the reason why I'm keeping my Wii. NMH in the PS3 = WIN.

It's a killer game that is overflowing with creativity. However, the open-world segments... not too great.

If this is true I can stop bitching and finally sell my Wii
No More Heroes was the only reason I kept it and when 2 got announced I said I might keep it but now the Wii might not have a home now

I guess I'm alone, but i didn't like this one. It was just like every other Wii game were i feel like a blindfolded kid swiping at a very small pinata, and the minigame side missions in between the kills were excruciatingly terrible. It reminded me of a low-res Assassin's Creed (and thats not a compliment).

Last time I checked, Suda said that the Wii was the best console he saw fit for the franchise. Is he eating his own words? Will Desperate Struggle be the LAST NMH on Wii?

Gotta go with EKG on this one. I picked NMH back up during a bout with the flu, and it was just as easy to jump back into after a year as it was to play the first time.

Of course, mileage may vary on how much you love Suda 51's weird approach to game design. The comparisons to Jodorowsky's 70s-era "acid Westerns" apply here.

What do you mean "tough game to go back to"? Isn't it only a year old or so?

Its pretty fun, the in between missions you have to do get enough money to move on to the next big battle get pretty tedious at times. But getting to the boss fights makes it all worth it. The most cussing and blood Ive ever seen on the Wii in the first 5 minutes of gameplay hahaha. Travis Touchdown is my hero! Grab a bargain bin copy and enjoy!

ps3 already could have most of the motion controls down with the sixaxis. With the new Natal stuff on the 360 and the unnamed controls coming out on ps3, it makes perfect sense to send them over. The game looked great on the wii, I cant imagine how crisp they could make it on the 360 and ps3.

And anyone with 30 bucks and access to a wii should have already played this game. I bought it brand new on the day it came out, It was my favorite game of 08.
