Grease

Gamers love to point out that gaming is no longer strictly a nerd-thing. People from all walks of life, religious groups and levels of geeky-ness now enjoy video games. But on the downside, that means game companies make games for these different demographics. You got your soccer-mom fitness games, your old-people brain-training games, and now, some games specifically for the awkward chicks who make up the chorus in the school play. I'm talking, of course, about upcoming Wii and DS games based on the movie/play Grease.

Paramount, the rights holder to Grease, will work with 505 Games to adapt the 1978 John Travolta vehicle into a party game for casual and family gamers.

Paramount says Grease will "take full advantage of Nintendo Wii's motion-sensing controls and microphone and the DS's touch screen." Wait, the Wii has a microphone? News to me! In any case, expect your little sister to monopolize the TV with out-of-tune karaoke versions of "Summer Loving" when this come out. No release date has been announced.
