Sony has launched an "Official License Program" to bring more peripherals to the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, and upcoming PSPgo.
By joining, manufacturers will "gain access to technical documentations necessary for designing and creating variety of licensed products for PlayStation platforms." Sony is working with manufacturers in Japan, Asia, North America and Europe.
At this point, I just want peripherals to work cross-platform and cross-title. I'm tired of buying new plastic instruments.
Since there isn't much more to discuss here... what is your favorite peripheral of all time? Mine is the NES Track and Field mat because you could just jump off of it and cheat.

I can't remember why I had to play Gyromite with two controllers, but the left one used to the direction pad, and the right was the buttons, totally ghettofied way to play LOL

I used to have the power glove, why did I spend more time trying to figure out what the buttons did than actually punch things and random hand gestures....I also had R.O.B. the Robotic Operating Buddy, which ended up not working at all, has anyone but me attempted to play Gyromite with two controllers, one in each hand? It actually works...

Speaking of the Light Zapper, I miss playing light gun type games. It would be nice playing those types on the 360 or PS3...

Look up the JOYBOARD. It was an Atari 2600 balance board.
Syben
anyone remember R.O.B.?

The Nintendo Power Glove is my all-time favorite. The Nintendo Light Zapper (can't miss when you put it on the glass). The Sega Activator was cool when you had time to set it all up. The SNES Super Scope. R.O.B. from Gyromite. Oh the NES Advantage.

man, the power pad. I like the track and field game that came with it. The cheetah was such a pain.. ok not really. Other than that and the nes light gun and nes satellite (never get that) I've never had a lot of peripherals, but there was one that was pretty awesome. The sega arcade pad was awesome. I used that for street fighter with much success.
Syben
ahhh, the old power pad. i used to have that
