Fable III Confirmed Via New York Times Wedding Announcement

Ah, the New York Times "Wedding/Celebrations" page; that most coveted of nuptial news locations that some couples would literally kill to appear in. Yet among all of the pieces of information that you would expect to find there, gaming news falls right between “How to survive an octopus attack” and “Where to find the best chili in Rhodesia.”

Well, that all changed this past Friday, when the wedding announcement of Amy Gilbert and Joshua Atkins appeared in the New York Times. Among the many meaningful pieces of information in the announcement, the one that stood out most prominently, especially for gamers, was the mention of the groom, Joshua Atkins, as being the “lead game designer for Fable III.”

Now, finding out that a third installment in Peter Molyneux's critically acclaimed RPG series is in the works is obviously far from surprising, yet it’s still nice to know that development is underway, especially since Microsoft and Lionshead have been mum up to this point with regards to the project even existing. Congratulations to the happy couple, and thank you for producing the most unorthodox game announcement ever.

Honestly, if you have nothing constructive to add to the topic at hand, why post?

    Thats your post...
    This is my answer

@acaseoftheMondays stop watching Office Space over and over, if you want to see rabid fanboys, look at most Sony related post, and look for 360_Mafia_Godfather & l33t360 & ProjektX13 comments, thats biased fanboyism, I said my piece on a developer, not a platform, OK numbnuts.

If I were saying 360 sucks, then Yes I would be a
sad.pathetic.fa nboy(as you type with SO much class)
I don't think the man behind the game is the genuis everyone pumps him up to be, he's inflated(like his games, and stuff he says he will go into the next one, but doesn't make it)
He is an idiot savant who lucked up with one decent game.
Did that answer you question, or do I need to type slower and in caps so you can read it jackass?

Simmer down there, Chief. As much as I appreciate your grownup retort (the numbnuts part was especially classy), you still haven't answered my original question.

Peter Molyneux is awesome. Still playing black and white 2 and fable 2 to this day.

Actually, nothing special in this game. The first Fable was a great game, Fable 2 is a piece of casual CRAP.

I m looking forword for the masterpieces like Team ICO, they are incredible.

@JediMasterDestro Yes, I am pointing out that screen is unoriginal, and inspired by the childish remnants, my SN on the other hand, was something I alone chose, PM sucks, his games are pure ass!Learn to live with the fact not everyone will like this guy's style. @JimDanD, never seen you here, so pump your brakes Dick Cheese

I doubt this one would be as good as one... unfortunately fable 2 was kind of a downer. An everyone says 2 was amazing but when they added CO-OP you knew it was gonna be bad solo games are solo games for a reason. Fable 3 lets pray together to baby Jebus.

ok one trick onies are when nothing changes in a game, suck as mario party. but to say that the second installment in a game calls for abandoning and beginning a new IP is crazy.

This could easily be a typo in the newspaper, they might have meant Fable II.
Also, deathsdelivery, gtfo of here, no one cares if you dont like Fable or Peter Molyneux, he seems to be popular enough.

Jesus... can we please stop the flame war! I think it goes without saying that *most* people who played Fable 2 really enjoyed it (as indicated by its robust sales and reviews). The announcement of its sequel was inevitable. I'd really love to see this discussion shift a bit to the things the fans of Fable 2 would like to see included. I, for one, would love a longer storyline and the timeline NOT advanced too far (I felt the most recent one was a stretch of the "colonial" time period.).

@deathsdelivery are you really going to attack my screen name? seriously? haha. do you feel like a big boy now? you've made fun of a game designer, a game franchise, and someone you know nothing about. you sir, are the coolest man on the internet.

What good games has he developed... Populus! That game is terrible. Not to impressed by these linear game makers and their games that could play themselves.

@JediMasterDestro Childish!?!REALLY!?! Your name is derived from a nerd movie, and a kid's action figure, stfu. Peter Molyneux's "games" are in quotes because they were not fun to play, felt like a chore with little reward, so I call as I play them. He's a one trick pony because Fable is about as close to a game you will get out of this dipsh[t.

@Deathsdelivery: Why do you keep using quotations around Peter's "games"? And you keep saying you've played some of his other stuff, what have you played that makes you think that he's a one trick pony? I'll give you a minute to go check wiki for what other games he's made so you can come up with an "educated" response. If you don't like Fable, why are you even here commenting? Just go away and stop your childish attempt at stealing the thunder from an announcement that some are excited about.
as for the article itself: "some couples would literally kill to appear in" Really? has that happened before? lol

Fable 2 wasn't that amazing of a game, It got sort of boring after an hour or two, It was cool how you actually got fat in it though. I loved running around as a fat hero.
