Welcome to "Morning Hangover" -- an excellent way to start your day with the crew at TheFeed...no matter what you're recovering from. Every morning you'll hear musings from two of TheFeed's editors and have the chance to share  your thoughts on what's going on in the gaming world. So buckle up, have a buffered analgesic or two, and keep reading!

Raymond Padilla: Reading comments from TheFeed faithful about all the different games they play in a month always amazes me. That's just not the way I play games (for personal pleasure -- playing games for work is another story entirely). I'm not blessed with the world's greatest attention span, but if I'm into a game then I'm into it for weeks. Sure, I'll play something else for 30 minutes or so to change the pace, but for the most part I stay with one game for at least four weeks. For example, I'm about to hit my third week of playing Final Fantasy VII. I'll probably be playing for at least another two weeks. I've totally stopped the main quest so I can breed some prize chocobos. My blue and green chocobos need to win a few more races before they can mate for a black chocobo (which will be named Leahy). In a day or two, I should have an awesome gold chocobo that can walk across oceans! Any suggestions for a name? More importantly, how do you guys play your games? Are you constantly swapping out discs? Or do you stay with one game for weeks at a time?

Harry Potter and the Half-Assed Game

Patrick Klepek: I have sad news to report: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince isn't very good. If you were to judge Electronic Arts' latest attempt to adapt Harry Potter to a video game only in terms of mapping spell casting to a Wiimote, it's brilliant. Harry Potter has been an unexpected killer app for both the Wii and Electronic Arts, but unfortunately, outside of the wand mechanics, it's just like every other licensed video game. It's especially disheartening because Half-Blood Prince is one of my favorite books in the series, one that features a gut-wrenching finale that's completely lost in the video game. Considering how much money these games make for Electronic Arts, I hope it treats the final tale with a little more dramatic respect. It deserves it.

TheFeed gang wants your thoughts on gaming, tech, the return of Steve Jobs, and more. Let everyone know what you're thinking and chat it up with your fellow readers. The reader with the best comment will get one of Brian Leahy's left socks.

How the heck did they screw up this Harry Potter game, when they got 6 extra months to work on the dang game. That's ridiculous, there's no excuse for that. That last one better be Great, not good, Great.

@o_NIGHT_TRAIN_o I loved Off the Wall, Thriller, and half of Bad, but there are lots of musicians/bands that I enjoyed more than MJ. Hmmmm...as a joke, I might have to name it Perry, after Journey's Steve Perry. Chocobo beaks are about the size of his nose.

Raymond if you like Michael Jackson name it MJ or something in his memory. I also like Mr. T it's a great name and I pity the fool who doesn't.

@Thundercracker Mr. T is a fine name for a chocobo. That one is under heavy consideration, if it's a male.

It's hard to stick with one game when there are so many crazy games coming out. I've got Phoenix Wright 3 (on the last case), Jeanne D'Arc (not sure how long), Shadow of the Colossus (trying t beat time mode), Patapon 2, and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, doesn't help that DSi Boxlife kills time like no other when I turn it on...

I'm actually enjoying Potter. It's nice and relaxing, and a big change from shooting up Zombies in L4D. :D

@miracledirt It's actually pretty easy now. When the game was released, there were a lot of bad guides with lots of incorrect steps. My gold chocobo is ready to be bred after three days of collecting the right chocobos, winning the right amount of races, etc. I'm just waiting for a good name.

    LOL @ Thundercracker

"God tripled the offer." Classic. I wish I was clever enough to come up with a gem like that.

Chocobo breeding sucked so bad, but it's totally worth it to get Knights of the Round. Name it: FINALLY!

I'm with Raymond. I play usually just one game at once and play it for however long it takes me to beat the game (and get 100% completion, or close to it for some games) and THEN I move on to the next game, whatever it may be. Of course, right now, I'm kind of stuck between Fable II, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, and now I'm thinking of playing MGS2 again, and work on those dog tags. I think most likely, pretty soon here, I'm going to buy MGS3. I found it at a local GameStop and I want it.

Oh, and I knew that game would suck. I've given up on licensed games. I loved the books, but I don't really love the movies, or even the games for that matter.
