As Sony prepares to deliver development kits for their new motion controller technology, more details are needed. Some will be disclosed next month at the annual Develop Conference, where Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's head of developer services, Kish Hirani, will be giving a coding keynote and discussing the technology. Will we finally see a real game using the wands?

" The keynote speech will provide an overview of the current state of the PlayStation platforms. Expect to hear a lot more about the new PS3 controller shown at E3, together with vision processing and advanced graphics techniques in the PS3 libraries. There will be coverage of several real-world examples of such techniques as used in recent and soon to be released PS3 and PSP titles from both Sony Computer Entertainment first party and external developers."
Develop Conference takes place in Brighton, UK from July 14 to 16. Speculation on what Sony will show at Develop starts…now.

GASP! How'd you know! I've always wanted -- actually, no, this "motion-based" future of videogames is annoying.
But seriously though, Microsoft has its own stupid motion-based thing too. They act like they did something revolutionary, but it just seems like a slightly more accurate version of the EyeToy, and even that had limited replay value. And this wand thing isn't exactly amazing at the minute either, so the two companies are even.
I'm a bit skeptical of both this and Project Natal (I can't seem to find anything remarkable about that too). I didn't watch this at E3 but we'll see just how this thing works out soon. I'm not exactly excited about this.
