Randy Pitchford Confirms War Hero As Future Gearbox Project

You might have heard the rumors floating around yesterday that developer Gearbox Software had trademarked several game titles for use on future projects, including World War II Hero, War Hero, Brothers in Arms War Hero, and Modern War Hero. Care to guess which one of those is in fact the actual title of a future Gearbox game?

If you said, "War Hero," then you are correct, sir. In an email statement, Gearbox head Randy Pitchford confirmed the rumors, saying:

"War Hero is something down the road for us – it’s not signed with a publishing partner yet as we haven’t even talked to any potential partners about it.  So we’re certainly not ready to talk about it publicly at the moment."

Pitchford went on to emphasis that Gearbox is currently, "focused squarely on kicking ass with Borderlands and we are really excited to be finishing Borderlands up for release this year."

Well, there you have it. You can all stop speculating about what the name of Gearbox's future project wil be, and start speculating on what Gearbox's future project will be all about. You're...welcome?
