As game systems get more complicated, errors become more mysterious. Back in the day, it was almost always dust on the connectors, so when Super Mario Brothers 2 didn't work, you'd blow on the cartridge, jam it back in your NES and bam, Luigi floats. But nowadays, it ain't that simple. Electronic Arts is having a hell of time figuring out why Fight Night Round 4 is freezing up on some Xbox 360s.
According to EA, the freeze-up is happening to a "very small number" of users of both the demo and retail versions of the game. But EA has been unable to duplicate the problem, and thus solve it. According to EA, "unfortunately we can’t recreate the freeze issue on any of our hundreds of kits."
That doesn't mean there are no clues. According to EA, "The demo freeze that we investigated seemed to be hardware related, nothing within the game code could be seen to cause the problem," and "The problem seems to lie somewhere between audio data and online configurations." See what I mean about mysterious?
Users experiencing the problem should probably check out this official thread, and add their specs and issues. The more info EA gets, the faster it'll be able to knock this bug down to the canvas for a ten-count.
Fight Night Round 4 worked fine for me, but I only played it for like ten minutes so far. How about you? Have you had problems with Fight Night Round 4? Let us know in the comment section.

Oh please $ony fanboys. Stop trying to believe that the ps3 is not a piece of crap like the 360. Oh, Fight Night IV has a freezing issue on the 360, well do you fanboys remember the release of the Playstion Home? Epic fail. Both consoles have their faults, Cry more please.

I think the biggest issue here is that Luigi didn't float in Super Mario Bros 2, Peach did.

I agree. Most posts on most blogs are ignorant. Most PS3 fanboys and Xbots argue so passionately and ignorantly about there system versus the other system that they have never played beyond the kiosks at gamestop. But you know they are more 360 problems than PS3, and you know that the 360 ultimately costs more money than a PS3, so to me that means the PS3 is a better system.

The freeze issue seems to be an HDD related issue and specific files contained within. We are still investigating what it is about these specific files on specific HDDs as it is happening to a very small number of users.

I have both and the demo worked fine on my 360. When I first got Resistance 2 it froze almost every time I played. Mass Effect hiccups on me as well. So neither system is perfect. Don't you people have better things to argue about?

@ccruse1112 I own a 360 and a PS3. I have no true preference of one over the other, though my ps3 is primarily used for Blu-ray movies. And no, articles like these do not legitmize that the 360 is sub-par because what about the reports of games freezing up on the PS3? It happens frequently, so how is that any different from this article? If you have a preference, that's fine. But we both know that preferences aren't what gets stated here. It always talk about why another system is bad, not why your system is good.

What if you have all system and yet has a preference and like to use articles like this to support why you have that preference? Dont articles like these legitimize the opinion of the 360 being a sub-par system quality wise?
