You’ve no doubt heard by now that id Software has been acquired by ZeniMax. Upon hearing the news, TheFeed's own Raymond Padilla contacted Epic vice president Mark Rein to get his reaction, and Rein could not have sounded more thrilled for his competitor:
“Congratulations to our friends at id. It is their day in the sun, and I can’t think of a more deserving company! Way to go John Carmack!”
Rein’s sentiments are no doubt being echoed throughout the gaming industry today. And rightfully so. Of course, we’ll see how cordial everyone is when id Software/Zenimax takes over the world.
