Ebert gave the first movie 3 stars so obviously he was able to see the movie for what it was, however he gave this one only one star. So obviously something went wrong with this movie.

From what I understand, critics aren't liking it cause it didn't have enough story...the plot is about giant robots fighting each other, did you really expect depth?
I haven't seen it yet, but I'm going in just expecting some cool action sequences, hopefully I won't be dissapointed.

so far all ive seen on the internet is that all the "crtics" say that the movie was horrible but these are the same critics that only connect with the film festival sappy love stories.... i hope this movie rocks in the box office and does good. i do plan on playing the game looks a LOT better than the first

I have read the same thing but yet again its being reviewed by "critics" who seem to think Bay is going to bring story, character and substance to a movie. I'm just looking for robo-action and thats all I really care to see with this franchise.
