I just wanted to say that I think its awesome of you to give Invincible the recognition he deserves. Its been one of my favorite comics for a few years and I'm glad its getting some hype! BTW I had the same reaction to issue 63.

I worked at a comic book store back when "Superman" died lol! Yeah, I'm old. But this podcast got me thinking why I haven't kept up with the times.
I will pick up "Invincible" starting with issue one tomorrow. Stopped at the spoilers and didn't read any other comments! Man, I miss comic books....:)

MY GOD!!! i thought when the future immortal talked about invincible and his wife leaving the planet a few issues back i assumed the wife to be Eve. this is such a shocker, and the way she died was... well all i can say is wow. eagerly waiting to see how (if possible) invincible is going to avenge her.

Firstly, I got into the series because of this very podcast. My stepdad owns most of the trades and single issues so in the span 2 days I went through every story invincible has served up thus far (at least in terms of the main comic proper).
I can't say I didn't see her death coming, since the adage "too much of a good thing" was playing over and over in the back of my mind, when going through the series, after all, Allen the Alien still isn't dead...well at least not yet. However, despite the slight predictability I grew very fond of Eve and was actually shocked to see her die. She was a great character and perfect for the protagonist. What a shame.
Great podcast though, like I mentioned, your little geek-out had me intrigued enough to read the first issue, then the next, then the entire trade, and so on. Nice job madam XD

Robert Kirkman is by far my favorite writer and has been for years. He has a rare ability in the comic industry to toy with your emotions and the current issue of Invincible is a testament to that. My only hope is that the events that occured that issue do not turn out like they appear.

Great podcast Blair. Love the spoiler-filled piece after the credits. Any chance this could become a regular or even semi-regular thing? Kirkman is fearless as a writer and even though I hate to see what happened to Eve I think this man really mix things up for the book over the coming months.

Kirkman is the best. I'm an oldster (40) and this comic is so reminiscent of the comics that I grew up loving in the 80's (except dead be dead. Marvel, I'm looking at you). I love that he had the kajonies (sp) to let the story take him where it's going to organically go, fan-boy's be damned. There's a reason the Image brain trust made him a partner. Ryan Ottley ROCKS too. He just keeps getting better and better! Great podcast as always Miss Blaire! -Gru

After watching Fresh Ink this week, I got Invincible as quickly as I could. I always knew Kirkman had the potatoes to do controversial stuff but...wow. Great webisode this week! With such an infectious enthusiasm towards comics, I wish you'd get into writing them.
