During a recent Q&A with Eurogamer, EA DICE producer Gordon Van Dyke said there will not be a multiplayer beta for the company's upcoming Battlefield 1943, the stylish re-imagining of the massively popular World War II FPS Battlefield 1942.

But not to worry. DICE will be releasing a demo that Van Dyke says will, "confirm what you already thought - that this game is the best [$15] I will ever spend!"

Battlefield 1943
features a slimmed down, more arcade-centric action experience than 1942, but if you've seen the game in action, it's clear that fans and newcomers alike will be eating this game up when its released later this summer on Xbox LIVE Arcade (1200 MS Points) and the PlayStation Network ($15). The game is also being released for PC in September.
