Capcom's Japanese Q&A blog has some information that Street Fighter IV fans will be pleased/annoyed to hear. It seems that Capcom is currently working on either new SFIV DLC or they are in the planning stages of a sequel.
As the Official Xbox Magazine reports, Capcom is currently considering adding a few new characters to the mix, including Gouken's daughter, who "probably is as strong as Ryu, Ken or Akuma," as well as SF: Alpha regular Rolento. The post also mentions special intros (Gouken vs. Ryu, etc.) and the prospect of a free moving camera during replays.
And while it seems fairly obvious that a sequel is in the works, these additions don't seem nearly substantial enough to suggest they won't be included in some DLC/update somewhere down the line, as opposed to being the jumping off points for a sequel.
What would you like to see included in the next possible SFIV update/DLC/sequel?

Well as character DLC goes, I think they should DEFINITELY have T. Hawk. He was my absolute favorite character in Super STreet Fighter 2, Dee Jay would be good too because the only reason people like Cammy is because she wears a thong and the only reason people like Fei Long is because he looks like Bruce Lee. Also I think they should have Birdie, Eagle, and Adon because they were in both the original Street Fighter and SF Alpha, and also they should have Rolento and Cody because they were cool. And throw in Sodom too I don't care. And maybe a new fighter that does like, Maori style or something cool like that.

Here are a few ideas for content for DLC or sequel :
1: More stages and fixed stages for each character like the original.
2: Would be nice to face the 4 original boses in story mode in their original stages ie: Spain stage for vega with the fence.
3: Weather effects would be a nice touch (heavy rain, thunder, wind etc).
4: Add an option in the menu to change Bison as the final boss and put Seth on the sideline... just don't feel he fits in the mix.
5: Bring back some of the original music, Ken's stage music was amazing!
6: Bringing back some characters like charlie would be nice!
7: Bring back the bonus stages, car destruction barrels or others.
Well thats it, otherwise near perfect sequel!

@ scr3wnai1(Im sure your name looks cool to you) The only reason they had so many versions of SF2 was becuase of how popular that was. And I'm pretty sure back then the technology only allowed for retail versions of them. This time around they'd be foolish to make just a retail update....

Looks like there repeating what they did with Street Fighter II. For those of you to young to know Capcom made like 4 or 5 different versions of SF2 before moving the series on.

Gouken's daughter sounds cool, but extremely cheesy. Why can't they just evolve the story without the usual lazy twist that somehow disregards the past?
I really want 4 player lobbies, DeeJay, and easier link combos.

Let's think about this for a minute... I mean REALLY think about it.
Gouken is F'n HUGE! I mean, Ryu is all muscles and no neck and yet Gouken towers him like a giant over an infant. You gotta wonder what chick could survive intercourse with him, nonetheless bare his child. Either that, or Gouken is the poster child of overcompensation.
As for the child thing itself, seems soon everyone will have a childe in the series sooner or later. Wonder what Zangief's child would look like...

If they are planning on selling a new copy of street fighter 4, then capcom has officially been blacklisted by me.
Also I wonder how long till all the whiny babies cry "sagat is too overpowered and I can't beat him"

pretty cool, but they really need to lower the retail price on the game. I still cant justify $60 on a simple fighting game...Other than the characters, there's no variety, same with all fighting games. Dont get me wrong I love SF, but it only takes so much to make...def not worth a full priced game.

T-hawk, Dee Jay, Adon, Rainbow Mika, Rolento, Sodom, Guy, Oro, Ibuki, Hugo, Q, Dudley, Skullo-mania. 4 new characters, BONUS STAGES. New backgrounds, new intro's for all the characters, new ending animation's, A grapple system, 3 supers and ultras to choose from, random events, stage ko's, and last but not least a SUPER STRING KO, A MERCY KO, TEAM SUPER KO, and 3 FINAL KO's for each character to do at the end of the last round. I know I am greedy I want a lot of stuff added to the game. Here is to Capcom thanks for listening to your fans.
