On Tuesday, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords developer Obsidian Entertainment teased a new project that was not KotOR III. This seemed to suggest that perhaps that job could very well be back in the hands of KotOR developer BioWare. But between Dragon Age: Origins, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Mass Effect 2 and the recently revealed secret title BioWare is supposedly working on, KotOR fans might have to wait a bit longer for their dreams to be realized.
As GameSpot reports, a resume has surfaced for a game designer who listed having been Principle Lead Designer on an unannounced “AAA project” at BioWare, responsible for “the creation of a new IP.” Well, there goes KotOR III, but more importantly, there goes MDK 3!
The mystery project will most likely stay firmly in the "Anyone's guess" column for a while, especially given the number of BioWare titles coming down the pipeline.
Space, ancient China, medieval times, fantasy, and speedy hedgehogs, BioWare’s done them all. Where do you hope the company goes for their next original project?
