Namco Bandai didn't mention their Splatterhouse reboot, which recently moved from developer Bottlerocket to the same internal team that worked on Afro Samurai, at E3. It's no shock, then, to learn Splatterhouse isn't coming out this year anymore, as Joystiq learned. The horror beat 'em up is now targeted for a 2010 release.
"This will give us time to polish and incorporate all the content to deliver a top notch game worthy of this classic video game franchise," said the company in a statement.
One less game I have to worry about in 2009. Not necessarily a bad thing.

why not throw the bottlerocket made splatterhouse game into the trash bin and start fresh with another concepts and takes? i guess namco doesn't want to lose all the money spent on making it already.

I really want this game to kick ass, but I have a feeling it will blow ass.

Hopefully this puts it towards the beginning to middle of 2010, so that its not trying to compete with the AAA sequel mayhem that comes towards the end of the year.
