Microsoft evangelist Major Nelson is telling the world that Xbox Live's issues after 24 hours of maintenance have apparently been resolved. Gamers were reporting issues with signing in, redeeming point codes and accessing certain content through the various marketplaces. You should be able to safely access all of Xbox Live again, but if there's an issue, let me know.

the only problems ive realy had were me and my friend who lives next door couldnt join each others games or party but it works now so thanks microsoft.

The only part of xbox.com I can't access is the Support area, it just refuses to completely load. Even though Microsoft sent me an email saying that my 360 is finished being repaired and has been shipped, I still would like to check up on it. I could check it on ups.com but xbox.com has a better and simpler way.
I do like what they did with the "My Xbox" area, looks awesome.

I had alot of issues with Gears2 and none of them were based around lag. I just didn't think it was tactical enough for me. Way too aggressive for my tastes. I also felt like Marcus Fenix weighed like 9,000lbs.
I believe you got a powerful connection and you probably stay in rooms hosted by people with sweet connections and the lag you HAVE experienced, is other people lagging out.
But straight up, UFC... it doesn't matter what your speed is, it's 1 on 1. If your opponent has a Big Lots connection, the games gonna lag. In ranked, your bound to get some.

That's precisely my point, I wouldn't be able to prove that to you or anyone it's just my experience you take it for what it's worth... For example I read comments about Gears of War 2 being a lag fest yet I never had issues when I played it with my friends... So, what I'm trying to get at is since we all have our personal experiences with scenarios why do we try so hard to convince others of what we've personally encountered and they haven't? Naturally, assuming we're being truthful with one another and you know how that goes...

I personally wouldn't say anything unless it was a joke of whatever nature. But I know the people you're talking about. I know that people have connection speeds that vary. And I also know what servers do. Therefore, from my experience, I know it is possible to play certain games that much, and not experiencing lag.
Then again, with some games I would call shenanigans if some one said they never lagged. I don't care what your speed or rig is... it happens. You'd be lying to say you never experienced it (again, in certain to most online games).
But yeah, for the most part I'm cool with everybody on here.

That was not a PSN problem that was a firmware problem that they pulled once it started messing up a small number of PS3s.
I am talking about PSN vs LIVE. Live which is the only way 360s can get online to game, stream media, whatever has gone down completely for updates, hackers, or whatever.
When I say this sucks Xbots get there panties in a bunch and say PSN has the same issues. But to my knowledge PSN the free service has never gone down. For example if Home gets updated I can still game, chat, browse the store, use the internet browser, or whatever. Now if this is not true and if 360 fans have evidence to the contrary please share.

The same can be said the other way around... Look at it like this, if I tell you that I haven't had a problem with my 360 for the last 3 years, play it from 7 to 15 hrs at a time, no problems with lag online or not being able to host games with friends and have played PS3 games and reserve my judgment on certains ones you all would be saying that I'm lying (which has happened before). So now I tend to leave the fanboys alone to fight each other and let them bicker all they want about whatever they're arguing about...

SUCKS for all of you that have issues HaHaHa I'm not having any problems with my Live HAHAHAHAHA Sorry for the issues you guys are having trouble, it's funny how all the bugs and stuff people are complaning about b/c it still seems better than PSN... I mean come on of course there's going to be issues when they start up the service again I mean come on, there's no need to get upset calm down and if you really can't get live to work then now's your chance to go outside and have fun as for those complaining give it a break as for XboxLive users you get PrivateChats PartyChats across diff. games and even watching movies while PSN users can't do that so stop crying...and please don't bother replying to this or talk to me b/c I hardly go back to the same article...........G4 you should create a reply system right beside the flag comment for review and when someone replys it let's us know right away through our email address THANK YOU : )

That's why I just try to crack jokes wherever I can. There's also a lot of REALLY smart people on here that I truly enjoy conversing with.
Then there's the the whole sociological observation thing. I notice the weird things. Let's take for example (not to call anyone out) the relation ship between Thundercracker and l33t360 (formerly staychisel). These guys have bickered for years now. Both of them are cool guys and would probably get along famously otherwise, but there's this factionalism thing going on that prevents it.... it amazes me.
Granted, I think by now both of them realize all that, actually do enjoy the conversations they have with each other, and is more like a friendly rivalry now.

It was resolved in around 18 hours. After that period, I could download Sam and Max with no problem. Also, anyone who has a 360 and a Live connection, download Sam and Max. NOW.
