There is quite a bit of new content hitting PlayStation Home today, says PlayStation Blog. First, there’s the SOCOM Tactical Operations Center space where players can congregate to discuss strategies, check out regional leaderboards and purchase new military-themed accessories for your avatar. EA has also done some remodeling in its EA SPORTS Complex, adding Racing tracks, leaderboards, and a Racing Boost Shop. And there are some new game-related virtual items on the way, like the free Cole outfit for anyone who completed the inFamous demo.
However, by far the coolest new addition is the Ghostbusters Firehouse personal space. It’s a three-floor replica of the famed firehouse, complete with movie-theme decorations, furniture and even a personal Ecto-1. There’s also a ghost containment unit in the basement! I guess that helps explain why you’re able to fly around the house as Slimer if you want. There’s also a complete Loot Stage Set that comes with movie props and portable blue screens, in case you feel like going all Be Kind Rewind in the privacy of your own home.
All in all, lots of fun stuff. And if you’re in the midst of playing through Ghostbusters: The Video Game at the moment, being able to come home to the actual firehouse after a long day busting ghosts will no doubt be even more appealing.

I did, but I hocked it. It just didn't get as much use around my house. That's just the way it worked out. I personally ended up playing the 360 more as well did my family. I figured a price cut might come along (I can wait) and they might (hopefully) bring back BC, then I'll get another.
The Wii is still around because my son gets DOWN on MySims Kingdom and alot of the Pokemon VC stuff. He's also drawn to Mario but not as much as Sonic. He's a Sonic fan on top of any other video game mascot... that's my boy.
If I wasn't online, I'd probably prefer PS3 myself. But I'm addicted to the social interaction on Live. I don't care what it costs because I like it.
I RROD'd once in 2 years, MS got it back to me in 16 days, And I didn't mind. I took that time to do other things in life.
Maybe, I don't play games as much as some people all together.

@ImpurestCrowd,
sure we can, we just need to own a PS3 aswell, which I do, However I havent used it yet cause of time restrictions and Internet Connection. I'm sure its pretty nifty though!

I personally see Home as something that's still on it's way to being what it really can be. It's growing slowly, I'm not sure why. I think some of the online interactions are sue to the styles of business the companies have. Sony is trying to please N. Americans AND the Japanese while hoping that Europeans and Aussies will jump on. MS primarily focuses on N. Americans and hopes everybody else will jump on. We are Americans, 2+2=4, etc.
Sony has to/chose walk a cultural line as well does Nintendo. That may contribute to why it's not exactly what WE want. And why we would trust MS with what WE want... beyond me. Lack of choices... maybe?

On another note, Never leave your jackass friend playing Home without you in the same room. I am now banned from the playstation network for a month...

@big13lak
Home is a social network. You go there to meet new people and chat with other gamers. There are also a bunch of mini games you can play alone or with a few friends. Just a place to hang out really.
JustinStVel
this is awesome.
big13lak
Ok I see, I don't own a ps3 and never understood the "HOME" until now, I think lol.

oh ya of course you can sleep in PShome, thats where I sleep now! its where all the cool peeps sleep, matter of fact I got a job there cleaning barnicles of boats in the bay!
Seriously though? i think the point is supposed to be a kind of MMOesque type of experience or something, marketing aswell i guess, I dont know the real point, on the "Citizen Gamer" page of msnbc: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24 780215/ns/technology_and_scien ce-games/, she says you can find people dancing in the courtyard at like 3AM, haha, kinda rediculous if you ask me but theres obviously some market for it. I would never have the time for 'Home' myself.
big13lak
Why does it look like slimers moving at 30fps? and whats the point of PS Home? I really want to know, like you cant really sleep there can you?
