Considering the colossal amount Kojima Productions poured into Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, you'd figure the studio would repurpose the game's engine a second time for Metal Gear Solid Rising, but that's not the case. In the latest Kojima Production podcast, it was revealed that Raiden's adventure is being developed with an all-new engine designed for multiplatform rollout, reports Metal Gear Scholar.
"We're redoing the engine from scratch, and it's going to look amazing," revealed podcast host Sean Eyestone. "It's going to be a big project like Metal Gear Solid 4. The entire team is serious about making it look as good as possible on every platform."
Eyestone also promised Metal Gear Solid Rising would have "better graphics," than the last Metal Gear, but these are the tech wizards at Kojima Productions we're talking about: that was a given.
